OVERALL PERSONALITY:
From an early age, it was quite obvious that Hugo had more than his fair share of bravery. There was never any hesitation when it came to doing something dangerous or to stand up to someone. At some times some even considered him to be reckless, but he was never disregarding the danger; he simply decided that while the odds were not in his favour, he still had a chance. He's always been marked by his foolhardiness when it came to doing something brave - or stupid, considering your point of view - which meant that his parents and sister spent a great deal of time dragging him away from danger while James pulled him into it.
Another thing that has been around since he was young was Hugo's determined loyalty. He'd always defend his family and his family name, and he'd never put up with hearing any disparaging remarks about his family, to the point that he'd challenge anyone he heard to a duel or a fight, whether Hugo could win or not. On top of that, ever since starting school Hugo's had to deal with being bullied; bullied for his less than normal first name, for being a Weasley, for being small (up until recently he'd always been very small for his age), for simply being a Gryffindor, and for being a secret bookworm. He's always hidden the bullying, said that he was simply getting into fights, and other than a few suspicious people, most every has accepted the lie. On top of all that fighting, he's perpetually unlucky, which often leads to general accidents and disruptions, usually not on purpose. He also tends to get caught every time he breaks a rule, and he's starting to think that someone's watching him just in case he breaks another rule.
However, Hugo excels at being excessively annoying. He enjoys bothering his sister and cousins, whining at them about being left out, and generally being loud, though all of it's in good fun. He enjoys being the centre of attention, but he doesn't have the need to be the centre all the time. Sharing the spotlight is absolutely fine by him, just like he usually knows when to stop bothering people. How he knows this? Probably because he's only being loud and obnoxious to cover his true, quieter nature.
Something that he seems to have inherited from his father is his penchant for being oblivious to many things, particularly awkward situations. On top of that, he has a problem with saying things that are hurtful - but always unintentionally. Hugo means well, but he just doesn't pay enough attention to other peoples' feelings. Really, he doesn't pay attention to authority either, a problem that has been written home about many times. He can't help it if he likes to bend the rules from time to time; starting a war with the caretaker was incredibly fun in his opinion.
Oddly enough, Hugo has the balance of at once being stubborn and forgiving. Usually it depends on what the subject is, but Hugo can be pigheadedly stubborn and determined at times. One of the few people who can get through that stubbornness is his sister, though at times he'll ignore even her. As for being forgiving, well, that usually comes about when his cousins do something stupidly mean to him. Yet he's always willing to give a second chance, if you'd just ask him for it. In particular, Hugo is open-minded, and that allows him to give that second chance, even to Slytherins, no matter how his family might dislike that house.
A lot of the time, Hugo just can't keep his mouth shut. He spreads rumours faster than a dragon can breathe fire, though he doesn't do it maliciously. He just thinks that people need to know the latest news, even if that news isn't entirely accurate or something that should be spread to the general populace. To balance that out, he's a terrible liar, and knows it. Hugo is an honest being, and honestly just wants the best for everyone and himself. He just has a problem with keeping things to himself.
One thing he keeps as secret as the bullying is his bookworm habits. Inherited from his mother, he can't help the attraction he feels towards books. Oftentimes he'll hide the latest book under his pillow or secret it away under his mattress. Reading, he finds, is relaxing, though amongst his Quidditch-loving cousins, reading isn't a common passtime, especially not for a male of the clan. This isn't to say he dislikes Quidditch. He's as much of a fan and a player as any Weasley, and a fair player at that. Compared to some, like Aunt Ginny, he might not be too good, but he's got the overall skills. When it comes to school, Hugo's quite laid back. He's got a lot of his mother's brains (not that his father was dumb) and usually finds that he doesn't have to work too hard to do well at class.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION:
Hugo is very much his father's son. He inherited the Weasley-red and copper hair, though it's of a much finer texture than most any of his extended family. That hair rests low over his forehead, just barely out of his eyes and usually covering his ears, as well as being long in the back, not far past his collar. His blue-grey eyes he inherited from his father, and they're quite small and squinted, particularly when he smiles. The eyebrows above are barely visible through his hair, but they are barely visible even when his hair is out of the way, as a consequence of his red hair. As for the rest of his face, his nose is quite thin and pointed, and his ears are very flat against his skull. Pale, shapely lips rest on a strong jaw, though his face somehow manages to remain looking soft despite it.
Oddly enough, Hugo has near-flawless skin that's a pale, burnable alabaster. Unlike his father, that skin doesn't tend to redden easily when embarrassed or pressured. Overall, he's not a particularly muscular boy, though he seems to be fairly well-built. In fact, he's surprisingly well-built for someone as young as he. Hugo's always been small, but he's hoping he received the tall Weasley gene and it's just late. At the moment he's not too heavy, considering how much he eats. He's hoping to grow taller than anyone else in his family, though at this point he doubts it. Unfortunately, his voice hasn't finished breaking, though it's heading towards the deeper end of the spectrum.
As for clothing, Hugo's an odd assortment of extremes. While usually he doesn't dress all that neatly - untucked shirts, ripped jeans, loose ties - he can easily be coerced into something nicer and neater on short notice.

OVERALL HISTORY:
Being the second-born child to Ron and Hermione Weasley had its perks. For one, he had an older sister to
As with the entire extended Weasley family, Hugo had a very loving and peaceful childhood. Peaceful in the way that there was no ongoing wars, that is. After all, when it comes to the Weasley-Potter clan, there is no such thing as peaceful. From a young age, Hugo idolised his prankster cousin, James, and set about to be as loud and annoying as he. Whether fortunately or unfortunately, Hugo mostly succeeded. Though it was rarely intentional, Hugo brought destruction wherever he went, his perpetual unluckiness showing from an early age.
Though it was perhaps a little odd, Hugo never remembers having any problems with his sister or cousins. They rarely even fought verbally, which was nice. Mostly Hugo spent his days following James and Rose around like the tag-along little brother and cousin that he was. As his older cousins slowly trickled into Hogwarts, one by one, Hugo felt himself abandoned by them, and became more and more eager for it to be his turn to go. When Rose and Albus left, he was sad, but he and Lily talked up a storm about which houses they'd be in while their siblings went off to the train. Once they were gone, Hugo felt even more abandoned - there were only a couple of Weasley children left that hadn't gone off to Hogwarts yet - but luckily his parents made up for it.
Since Rosie was away, Hugo got the complete, undivided attention of his parents. It was, of course, very different than what he'd expected; suddenly his exploits were watched and he was caught nearly every time since Rose wasn't there to keep them distracted. However, one lovely day his dad decided to take a ten-year-old Hugo to his work at the Ministry. Hugo'd been to the Ministry before, but it was way more interesting to go with his dad, who had a cool job, and with Uncle Harry, of course.
All too soon it came time to go to Hogwarts and join his sister and cousins. Considering that he and Lily had been looking forward to this for some time, Hugo was oddly reluctant to go. He'd had a lovely two years without Rosie (except at break time) and he didn't want to lose that time with his parents. However, he reminded himself continually that Hogwarts was going to be way better than being at home all year long. With that anticipation in mind, Hugo set off on the Hogwarts Express, looking forward to joining his family at the great castle.
For a long time Hugo had thought about which house he'd be in. He wanted to be different, but he also really wanted to be a Gryffindor in order to join most of the family. Unsurprisingly, the Sorting Hat called "GRYFFINDOR" when it came time to choose, and Hugo joined the long Gryffindorian Weasley tradition. In the end, it was most definitely the house he ought to be in.
As to Hogwarts, well, Hugo adapted quickly to the school. The lessons came fairly easily to him, perhaps thanks to his mum, and he made friends quite easily (it also helped having a huge repository of cousins one could rely on). However, something came up quite quickly that worried people, particularly his parents. Due to his lack of height, his odd name, his oblivious nature, and bookworming habits, some students took it upon themselves to bully little Hugo. Duels, muggle fights, it all happened. However, Hugo's the kind of kid that can shrug off injuries as if they never happened, and compiled with the Hogwarts nurse, Hugo always ended up alright. But he wasn't about to tell his parents what was going on; he had too much of an ego, even at that age. Instead, he insisted that he was starting the fights himself, that he wanted to.
After some worried and angry letters from his parents, Hugo did his best to stay away from the bullies for a while starting in second year. But after some months of staying safe, they caught up to him again. He also noticed that he had a lot more skills in the duelling area than most of the other students his age. Why? Because he'd fought so much. He learned from his opponents. But they were still older than him and had a distinct advantage.
Otherwise, Hugo grew while at Hogwarts, both physically and personally. Though he remained a lot like his father, he was always loud and fun-loving. Hugo was always determined to make it onto the Hogwarts Quidditch team and play with his cousins, and he's finally made it. Since he's getting older, Hugo has certainly begun paying attention to girls, although in that respect he's much like his father, in that he's well and truly oblivious as to what the feelings mean. Lately the bullying has been getting him quite down, but he's heading into his third year excited for his new classes.

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:
Some classic Adrian/Raiden, you remember that? ;)
Satisfaction radiated out of the smile that had come to his features, Adrian's measuring eyes showing that quiet contentment that proved that someone had just passed one of his many, ridiculous tests. Certainly, he wasn't about to let someone get too close without learning more than just a little about him. Now that the important things had been dealt with, it all ought to be a lot easier from here on in, unless he had disillusioned the unfortunate (or perhaps fortunate?) Raiden. Hopefully not, but he would see.
Seemingly Raiden was one of those few, rare, lucky Slytherin types that didn't suffer from the constant ailment that was fear. Adrian wasn't about to deny that he had more than his fair share of fears, but this... this was most definitely not one of them. If only the younger Slytherin knew; Adrian had been caught in much more compromising positions than this in the past and had merely come away with a great dislike for patrolling Prefects and interfering professors, which was probably one of the major reasons he hadn't been considered for Prefect. He had absolutely no problem with continuing on like this with Raiden for however long they wanted.
Returning the gaze into the other's eyes, he wanted to make sure that the other could clearly see that Adrian wasn't lying about what he was to say. Truly, he hated to have given the impression that he was either unwilling or too fearful, for neither was true. "Not at all," he answered the demand slowly, clearly enunciating each word. He wanted nothing mistaken for another meaning at this point. He was too far gone into this to find a rejection at the end of today's line. With luck, Raiden would
Slowly, so that Raiden might notice what he was doing, the hand that remained against his partner's - friend's? new lover's? - chest began to curl in, each and every finger taking time to drag along the fabric that kept it seperate from warm skin. In that forming fist gathered that very same fabric in order to keep a grip on the other boy, keep him from moving away without permission. Even if he did damage the shirt this way, the Hosue Elves could certainly mend it, even make it better than new. Not that it mattered quite yet - Adrian was usually one to take things as they came along - he found himself wondering whether there might be other damages to clothing. But that was for later - maybe. The focus had to be on now.
Now. Now he was staring up at Raiden, replaying their conversation as he made sure to note any changes on the other's face, particularly those that might signify a retreat. It had been left up to him, and he felt that if did not take the first step - an easy one, without doubt - there would be quite the disappointment on the other end. Understandably, of course. Perhaps a test of Raiden's own? He might never know, no matter what his decision was. Of course, the decision was very obvious to he who had, in many ways, precipitated this encounter in a relatively unused and thankfully empty lavatory. Not that location mattered.
Resisting a smirk - he was damned sure he was going to enjoy this - and fighting that bothersome quickening of his heartbeat that never failed to give him away right before he made his move, Adrian moved again. First, that tiniest piece of a step closer until he wasn't sure that there was anything seperating him from one of the most handsome young men he'd ever met. Next, that slight pull from the hand that grasped at Raiden's shirt, enough to try and convince the rather tall man to lower himself so that the unfortunately shorter Adrian might reach (after all, it was not dignified for a man to have to go up on his toes for anything, never mind this). Finally, two at once: his free hand reached up to Raiden's strong neck to gain another foothold while he decreased the gap between their lips until it no longer existed.
