As you may know, we are just about to reach our one year anniversary. To celebrate I am hoping to hold some everyone welcomed thread.

Hogwarts Quiddich Tournament:
Location: Hogwarts Date: January 13-16

This one is easy, the four house will go against each other, the winner house will receive 1000 points. This is good if you want your house to win the house cup. Each house that participates will gain 200 points.

Example:
Slytherin vs. Ravenclaw - Both houses get 200 points. - Winner Ravenclaw
Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff - Both houses get 200 points. - Winner Gryffindor
Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor - Looser gets 200 points - winner 1000

There may also be other points given, depending how good the thread is and how much participation from the houses.

Winter Ministry Dance:
Location: Unknown - Date: January 25

This is still under the works, it will be more of a family thing that anything else. There aren't going to be any house points awarded. But it will be a good opportunity to have adults and students role-play together.

Quidditch Tournament:
Location: Unknown Date: Unknown

I had this planned for much later on, since if we have it is going to be a bit big. But pretty much like the first one, but instead of the four house playing against each other. There would be a Hogwarts team and hopefully bring back Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. There is going to be later on a Triwizard Tournament, so if you want to save this idea for that. It can work too. There will be 1500 points awarded to all four houses. Another thing, this won't take place in Hogwarts, it will be in one of the other two schools.

Valentine's Dance:
Location: Hogwarts Date: February 14

Again another thing we are probably going to end up having, the main chamge is that it will take place much later on. Very simple. This one will have points awarded, but there is going to be a little surprise. Just to make it simple, you won't be picking your partner to the dance. The best couple will recieve 900 points for their respective houses. If you are lucky, your house can get 1800.

Black Masquerade:
Location: Unkown Date: Unknown

The hardest one, because I won't give out who is going to be hosting this party. Is going to be pretty much a little secret and the guest have to try and guess who is behind the whole thing. Just a hint: It won't be Regulus. If this one is picked, I will PM the person(s) involved and tell them everything. Just remember, it could be you!

Now for these, people don't have to participate in the thread unless they have an obligatory character, right? I mean, if the Black Masquerade happened, for example, some people just aren't the dancing types. So if they don't want to put in their charrie, they wouldn't have to, yeah?

BUT ANYWAYS. This is all totally awesome. ^^

*nods* Yep, in the Black Masquerade there will be certain characters that need to be present. This characters may be close to the hosts or will have a major part in the fun. For the Quidditch things, younger students don't have to take part, the same goes for those that don't like the game. For the Ministry thing, muggle-borns don't have to take part at all, since it will be a mostly wizard families thing, but they can still go if they want. The valentine party is also another thing, that will be more open to older students. Some of them are more character friendly than others, but it was a bit hard to have them all be very open without making them to random.
