Good evening my fellow roleplayers of Toujours Pur, I am here tonight to update you on a couple of familiar characters. Theodore Remus Lupin and Victoire Gabrielle Weasley have undergone some major changes, and it's within everyone's best interests that these changes are well publicized.
Because you are hardly going to recognize them.
Face claims and names stay the same... for the most part. Vic goes back to being a Weasley, but it will all be explained shortly.
Let's start at the beginning. A personality change for Teddy means he's a lot less blah and a bit more selfish. Growing up, he was fully aware of the absence of his father and the way Harry had sneakily filled that void. Any orphan would have some controversy over this, so it isn't remarkable that Teddy was averse to Harry's fatherly doting. Though he did appreciate what Harry was doing for him (he was honestly grateful), it still didn't get rid of the fact that Teddy longed for his own parents, and thus there were some repercussions. A few rows here, a couple of petty criminal acts there. Normal teenage lashing out stuff. But in the end, Teddy knew he was a Lupin, not a Potter or a Weasley, and he needed to find out what the definition of Lupin was. He steadily grew more independent, discovering himself, making sure that what he did, he did for him. He was still a part of the family, sure, but less like family now and more like the family friend that parents trust to baby sit their kids.
Oh, and speaking of kids, Teddy doesn't hate them anymore.
Meanwhile, Victoire's growing up normally with her brother and sister, and by the time she gets to Hogwarts (the first of the Potter/Weasley clan), she is adept using her charm, good looks and manners to get her way. She's also selfish like every other teenager on the planet, so there's nothing new here either. The difference is Vic is less of a good girl at Hogwarts and more of a "Boys react the way I want them to when I do this." Far from being the school slut though, Vic's is just sort of an attention seeking girl with a crush on Teddy, though it never really amounts to anything during the first years of their schooling.
Teddy is three years older than Vic, so he doesn't ever really notice her in that way. He's quite popular among those in his own year, doing what every Gryffindor does to get attention. A bit of a troublemaker in school and out, Teddy has a positive reputation among his peers. Plus, he's sick of being the "one of these things is not like the others" during the summer holidays with the Potters and Weasleys, so he strives to be likable. Vic is also quite "likable" a few years under him, and by the time she's actually old enough to start to really consider Teddy, she really considers him.
Neither of them were the most straight and narrow path followers, instead letting lusty teenage hormones take them where they may. Eventually Vic started focusing more on giving Teddy attention, and Teddy was wondering what all the fuss over her was about. And they found they clicked. We're talking match made in heaven. Or J.K.'s mind.
So they started dating and... etc... officially once Teddy was out of Hogwarts. The small age gap didn't seem to bother them at all, and they were perfectly content with each other, but it was the slew of Potter/Weasley parents that were uneasy. Teddy wasn't exactly the influence they wanted on Vic, what with his general badass-ery and penchant for doing things his own way, and Vic, in turn, was maybe too eager. She had a level head on her shoulders, a bright girl and good at getting things her way. Teddy was still confused over his identity, and the only thing that made sense to him was Vic. So despite what the adults could say, Teddy and Vic remained Teddy and Vic.
Teddy graduated and flat out refused to go into any sort of government job, or into those that could possibly associate himself with his godfather. Again, Teddy doesn't hate Harry, he just wanted to find his own way. Vic is still in school while Teddy starts working various jobs while he decides what he wants to do with is life. It's during this separation that they realize how serious they are about each other, and the years seem to fly by until Vic has graduated too. At this point, she's 18 and he's 21.
Teddy has been living on his own since he left Hogwarts, in a small flat in London conveniently close to Diagon Alley. Vic moves in with him despite parental protest, and for a few months it's surprisingly blissful. She starts training to be a healer while Teddy considers other jobs more seriously. He begins to get interested in a career in Ethical Magical Creature Control, working with dragons, hippogryffs, sphinxes, etc., though only within the general UK area.
But then Vic gets pregnant (remember, 18 years old) and she has to postpone her healer training and Teddy takes up more odd jobs, one of which he still works (he totally works at Madame Puddifoot's in Hogsmeade. LOL). Their daughter, Olivia Rachelle Lupin, is born out of wedlock, though she takes Teddy's last name. The family is out for blood (mainly Bill for Teddy's), but Vic and Ted seem to be doing alright.
Vic resumes her training and currently works at St. Mungo's, Teddy works his two jobs (Puddifoot's on weekends. HA.) and they've since moved to a small house out in the country... somewhere.
SO GUYS, WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT TO CHANGE WHEN RPING WITH VIC OR TEDDY?
WHAT HASN'T CHANGED?
