Saskia Kaethe Ruslan !
Intelligent - Ambitious – Unforgiving – Shrewd - Cruel

[/size]As you may have guessed my name is Dr. Saskia Kaethe Ruslan, but almost everyone calls me Saskia / Dr. Ruslan. I was born November 16th, so that makes me just 36 . Don’t be alarmed, I am a Muggle,. I was born down in Novosibirsk, Russia, to my dear old parents Liev Ruslan and Ilse Ruslan.
PEOPLE WILL TURN THEIR HEADS

BRING DOWN THE CROWD, MAKE YOUR LOOKS SHINE
Dr. Saskia Ruslan sets a striking figure, though she is not what one might call a classic beauty. Her hair is a bright fair blonde, almost so light as to be called platinum. These pallid locks reach several inches past her shoulders, though customarily she pins her hair back when not at home. Though often enough when Dr. Ruslan has spent far to many nights working in her office on a particularly frustrating quandary she barely manages to run a brush through her hair in the morning. When at the office she cuts a professional image, hair normally knotted in a smart bun, any wild strands carefully tucked behind the ears, with a lab coat set on her shoulders. Crisp grey blue eyes hint at her logic bound nature, easily revealing her as a woman who hardly gives the time of day to conspiracy theorists and pseudo-scientists.
Saskia is a rather tall reedy individual, reaching up to 5’11, but her body is almost as straight as an arrow. She has hardly anything as to hips or in the chest region so she lacks a 'proper' womanly figure. Her body is a bit bony and rather sharply angled through the face, shoulders, and hips. In this she possesses a curious form of beauty, with a somewhat gawky body and heavily pronounced skeletal structure. Arms are moderately thin and lack any sign of purposeful exercise, the same goes for her legs which are of course a bit wiry in appearance.
In regard to her wardrobe Dr. Ruslan is almost always clothed in her customary white lab coat. Beneath the coat or when at home her clothing is always composed of well cut blouses and carefully pressed pants. She disdains youthful styles and chooses to wear older classics that will survive as time passes. Her nails are never long or stylish and are instead always smartly trimmed down and filed smooth every night before heading off to sleep.
Any makeup she dons is highly understated and often only includes a bit of foundation and lip stick. As such she gives off a spectral image framed with pallid hair and skin and only a dash of color gleaned either from an article of clothing or a bold lip color.
NOT TWO PEOPLE ARE THE SAME

YOUR PERSONALITY IS UNIQUE TO YOU AND ONLY YOU

YOUR PERSONALITY IS UNIQUE TO YOU AND ONLY YOU
Dr. Ruslan is a curt and to the point individual, often mistaken for someone with a blatant lack of patience. Indeed the woman knows the value of patience quite well, after all, in science it is rare for something to happen with any about of haste. Saskia has a lack of tolerance for laziness and inefficiency and has a habit of sacking staff members who she thinks are shirking on their jobs. Of course this aspect lends itself to the woman having very few colleagues who happen to stick around due to her capacity to do quite well enough without them...thank you very much.
This all boils down to her immense need to succeed in all of her exploits, especially those centered in upon the scientific realm. If Saskia detects a fellow scientist is not pulling their weight on a project, she tarries little in sending them off along their merry way. She is thirsty for success and her ambition knows no boundaries. As such Saskia has a habit of sleeping in her office and only paying rare visits to her flat over in London simply to have more available time in the laboratory.
Saskia is an intelligent woman, though she lacks at times when it comes to commonsense. Still she is firmly rooted as a realist and has no illusions about the actuality of the world being an unforgiving environment. As she is a pragmatic soul Dr. Ruslan is also an unyielding individual. But all scientific discoveries take time, and over time the Muggle female has adopted a mild if not tentative form of patience paired with the hardened mettle of a true risk taker.
That tendency to leap into hazard is fueled quite heavily by her own thriving ambition. Saskia was born in a low middle class family out of Russia, every advance in her life she has fought tooth and nail for. To this day she still adopts that attitude and is highly competitive to make discoveries first, to be the author of the first groundbreaking article, to be the foremost in innovation. She has never advanced in life save through her own hard work, most unlike other females that might utilize a set of curves to their advantage, Dr. Ruslan of course would never bend down to that degrading level.
In the end, she is ruthless and incredibly focused on her own self advancement and more importantly self preservation. Out of this deep seated need to prevail in all her exploits, her cut throat attitude has grown a razor sharp edge of cruelty.
Dr. Ruslan has little sympathy and certainty no empathy for the patients involved in her experiments. They are simply sacks of flesh to be pierced and drained to bring about the glory of scientific truth. Only the tiniest flecks of remorse dwell in her consciousness from the untold number of 'experiments' she simply 'trashed' due to a minor failure. A perfectionist at heart Saskia Ruslan accepts nothing but the very best from herself and her continuing work at the Organization.
THE BOOK OPENS, THE STORY BEGINS

EVERY STORY HAS A BEGINNING AND WE THEN CREATE AN ENDING

EVERY STORY HAS A BEGINNING AND WE THEN CREATE AN ENDING
Saskia Kaethe Ruslan was born into a low middling class family in Novosibirsk, Russia. She never had the experience of having siblings and replaced that gap in her life with academics. From an early age she was encouraged by her two pitifully ordinary parents to become something more than themselves, the two of them both employed as simple shop keepers. Saskia dove into her schooling with a ferocity fed by encouragement by her parents, picking up every bit of information her mind could retain. She was always a sharp girl, her ability to pick up details and information became more acute as the years wore on.
Eventually through scholarship she was granted the opportunity to attend the University of Oxford, moving to England and leaving her parents behind. It was by then that Saskia has gained that shell of self preservation to protect all that she had gained and inwardly made the decision to never return to Russia again. To this day she has never made an attempt to contact her parents or inform them of her current residence.
Saskia Ruslan then became Dr. Saskia Ruslan M.D as she gained a doctorate in medical science and a secondary Master’s in organic chemistry. Her Bachelor was of course a preliminary medical degree focused in biology and chemistry.
Her path to the Organization though was determined some years after as Dr. Ruslan fell into a side hobby studying the occult and the strange disturbances across the English countryside into the late Nineties before spilling over after the year 2000. Strange deaths, events with no logic driven explanation, of course she could not resist.
At this time Saskia was employed at a local hospital as a lowly doctor in the emergency room. In all honesty she was quite unhappy during those years, her aspiration to delve into proper medical research stamped out for the time being. Her peers were shy and fresh out of medical school, they were quite timid and afraid at times to do what was necessary to save a life. Saskia herself bordered on the radical only two years into her employment at the hospital, often pushing aside pointless layers of procedure and medical testing to jump straight to treatment.
Half the time this risk seeking behavior saved lives when hours of fruitless procedures would have wasted precious time. Yet equally the other half of her attempts ended with patients being sent to the morgue or permanently affected by medicinal side effects that would have never happened had Saskia taken the time to observe ever rule instated by her employers.. It wasn’t long before a termination notice was delivered to Dr. Ruslan’s office demanding that she clear out her belongings and vacate the premises.
Saskia was inconsolable, believing that her medical career was fully exhausted now that she had a black mark on her record. But she was not allowed to wallow in her pity for long, as evidently someone had been keeping an attentive eye on her.
A week after termination, a letter written on thick stationary arrived at her flat, an invitation rather. It was then that Saskia came in contact with an individual by the name of “Dave”. Her aspirations for conducting proper scientific research were fulfilled by the promises of ‘The Organization’ who offered her employment. Even more interesting this was where her nearly forgotten side hobby came into play, as apparently this group of professionals engaged with the ‘Organization’ were investigating the odd happenings she herself had probed into with such veracity in the past.
Thirsting for a new purpose in life and a true exploit to set her considerable intellect to, Dr. Saskia Ruslan joined the Organization with hunger lingering in her gaze.

It was a pleasant fog draped brightening within Imperia as the glow of the suns fell down within the glittering haze. A faint layer of dew still lay calm and iridescent upon the streets, a striking countenance to the overwhelmingly dark structures rising from the streets. The sky was a sharp indigo for once, no longer bearing the tinge of a befouled gray. A light frost edged tracery of winter clouds drifted overhead, hardly enough to replace the layer of melting snow that still clung to the gutters and ditches lining the streets. A clear evening was ahead, gleaming fresh and untouched, utterly pristine.
Yet this utopia was to be short lived as a clip of heels could be heard upon the smooth cobbled streets. It was not a hurried gait, but one bound by a life of leisure and wealth. A brush of lace and ivory fabrics whispered about the full length of her legs, her slimming gown supplying the illusion that she was a weak minded female. The sort that filled their days with sweet delights and needlework. This thought was tossed rather violently from her mind, for that was the last thing that Aria Lahela was. She was as strong willed as any man, calculating and clever. This was perhaps her most valuable asset, even more than her arcana. Aldrin had chosen well when he placed her upon this mission, and for once Aria did not resent being sent out to fetch a person of interest for her master. After all, this was Duncan Sythe that had just walked into her master's city. Indeed an individual of interest, perhaps even an equal if his exploits were to be believed as true.
A faint smile played across her rose hued lips as the woman allowed her mind to wordlessly slip into clara, the world about her drifting into a sharp clarity. Without breaking stride Aria cast a minor spell, that of Awareness, after all there was no harm in calculated preparation.
Crystalline eyes snapped towards the stone parapets of the Stygian, the massive city gates that overlooked this dark city of the sea. He was near, that was all that she might discern, it was doubtful that a mage such as himself would simply waltz into the city proper without taking certain precautions.
The daunting architecture of the Calx Velum that bordered the walls rested to the side of the street that shared itself with the poorer districts of Imperia. Maneuvering herself towards that shaded district of temples and stone, Aria allowed herself to take a seat upon the rim of a dormant city fountain. The waters were a sickly ocher hue and the stone work covered lightly in mold, but she herself stood out as a striking ivory gem amongst the drab pallet of colors. The pallid lace dress garbing her body allowed tempting traces of skin to be revealed through the delicate needlework, a sight of desire coupled with elegance among this mundane setting. The mystic knew that she would not be missed, and that was exactly the point.
Strangely those of the lower class that passed by seemed to keep a safe distance from the woman. She was seen openly within the public quite often, yet still no one chose to speak to or take notice of her. All knew who her master was, and his was a name that was better left unspoken.
