~'A Charm of Finches'~ The Diary of Alice Trev'na [/size] [*Details]: '*A Charm of Finches' shall be the repository for character experiences and memories. Also here I will keep track of current threads and how they play into the time line of the diary. Hopefully if I managed to keep track of everything (and keep this thing organized) this diary will serve to keep a solid record for the experiences of Alice along with a potentially reliable character time line for IC use.~

August - 2023 - Sian arrived at the Glynwick estate owlery this morning with a letter from Aunt Fa’vaille, it had been written in haste with second hand stationary, nor had it been sealed properly. Wax was dripped all over the cover, and the seal roughly smudged. I know my Aunt, and she is not one to allow details to slip, not to mention her nerves are made of iron. The details were more than enough to hint that mother was having another of her 'not so clear' days, out in London. (Perhaps Longbottom would have given a silent applause for that deduction...though I rather doubt it. .... But, the Lion is a hard one to predict. )
...Mother was the middle child in her family, Fa'vaille being the eldest, so the doctors do not believe age is a real factor in her 'lapses', since Fa'vaille is nearly a decade older than her sister. Their best guess is that the mental disparity was perhaps brought on by stress. But I could have supposed that on my own. We all know why mother's mind is failing, who caused it, and evidently no one thinks it polite to talk about 'it'.
.......Look at me, right there, using an unfit pronoun for Adrienne's name, and I should know better....
.............
Sometimes I wonder if she will ever return, if she will make good on her promise. Some days it seems possible, that perhaps life will be less unkind and Adrienne will never enter our lives again. But then I remember who she was, Adrienne was as stubborn as myself, and filled with such ambition, she always seemed to have something to prove to the world. I suppose, in a way, I am no different which can sometimes frighten me....
...
I will never become her.
