SO THEN ALONG COMES ME, THIS UNDESERVING MESS who would believe my life would be so blessed He woke up in France.
Teddy peered bleary-eyed out from under the sheets, the unfamiliar surroundings giving him pause. The delicately striped wallpaper, all beige and white and clean, was definitely not his walls decorated with crayon drawings and calendars. The fluffy white carpets weren't his scuffed and scratched wood floor boards. The sparkling windows and elegant window drapes were not his cruddy venetian blinds, the ones he'd been meaning to replace practically since Victoire moved in. It took him a minute, but Teddy came to the very important conclusion that he was no longer home.
He nodded sleepily to himself like that solved it, his eyelids drooping heavily and begging to close. Teddy obliged happily, stretching with a groan then pulling the sheets up over his head again, his currently brown eyes snapped shut, and for a moment or two he drifted back into a dreamy half-sleep, when the noises in the room infiltrated his dreams in the oddest ways: that other person breathing could have been wind howling through his mind. Then, of course, everything clicked into place and Teddy sat bolt upright, sheets and hair askew.
He was getting married today.
"Caspian!" Teddy yelped, throwing the hotel pillow across the room to where his best mate (and soon best man) slept a bed away. He was only in a hotel for some weird tradition Vic insisted on... Something like not seeing her that day until the moment of the ceremony. Teddy obliged her (eh, why not) and he and Cas were shipped off to some fancy hotel a block or so away from her grandparent's house in the south of France, paid for by those lovely grandparents of hers. Still, a bit disconcerting waking up in a strange place no matter what day it was, let alone his wedding day.
"Shit, man, get up!" Teddy said as he flung his sheets off him and fixed the pajama pants that seemed to crawl up to his knees during the night. He got up quickly and crossed the room to the window, and, gripping the window frame, he peered out at the skyline. The sun was already reasonably high in the sky though the wedding wouldn't be for a few hours yet, to take place at the Delacour's lovely home. So he still had a little while before he had to be there, but already the nerves were starting.
With a quiet thunk Teddy leaned his forehead on the glass and placed his hands at each side of the window. He honestly didn't have a thing to worry about. He'd been living with Victoire for about four years now; They had a daughter for Godric's sake, it wasn't like Vic would suddenly up and decide to leave or something. Getting married was just another step they were taking, and he really hadn't the right to feel as anxious as he did. Sure, they were going to be newlyweds, but they'd been together for so long already...
With a deep breath, Teddy picked his head up and turned his back on the window. He eyed the suit hanging up on the back of the closet door and twitched on a smile, running a hand through his blue hair. It was going to be a long day, Teddy realized. But then he smiled.
And it was going to be a great one.words: 561 outfit: here tagged: victoire! family & friends credit: lyrics @ relient k coding @ kate notes: suppose we've waited long enough <3

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP The sunlight came in brightly through the thin lace curtains. With a groan, Victoire turned away from the sun and silently cursed Teddy for leaving the blinds open. He knew she couldn't sleep when the sun came out. She reached her hand over to nudge him awake and insist that he closed them so she could continue sleeping when her hand missed and fell into empty space beside her. Confused, she opened her eyes and quickly realized why Teddy was not there to leave the blinds open. She wasn't at home anymore. Of course, she knew where she was. Her grandparents had let her and Livvy and Fo stay with them in preparation for the wedding that would be in their backyard in a few hours. Teddy and Caspian had be sent to a nearby hotel for the night so the girls could have the house to themselves to get ready. She was getting married today. Victoire lifted herself up to scan the room. It was the guest room that she had slept in every time she came to visit her mother's parents. She was on the small bed in the corner, and Livvy was curled under a couple blankets in a fort she had made on the floor beside her mother's bed. Victoire smiled at her daughter and sat up, rubbing her eyes. The wedding was not to be for a couple hours, surely, but there was so much to do. They needed to finish hanging the lights up and make sure the cake was done and get everyone dressed and fix her make up and... Victoire carefully got out of bed to make sure she didn't wake or step on her daughter and pulled on a robe to leave the room and go down to the kitchen for a cup of coffee. She needed to be awake for this. She had a week's worth of things to do in four or so hours. Livvy had to be fitted and hair needed to be done and flowers needed to be arranged and... Victoire picked up her coffee mug and sipped at it as she sat at the kitchen table and watched the sun rise slowly in the sky. And it would get done. She would get married today and live happily ever after and all that. I NEED ANOTHER STORY, SOMETHING TO GET OFF MY CHEST My life gets kind of boring, Need something that I can confess The annoying and unrecognisable noise of consecutives beeps was something that Fred had been trying to ignore for over ten minutes, but it seemed the longer he ignored it the more incessant it got, not to mention the noise level seemed to be rising. Eventually unable to stand the noise any longer Fred popped up from his slumber and threw a pillow in the direction the noise seemed to be emanating from. It didn’t seem to help, not one little bit. Then slowly but surely Fred’s mind seemed to come back to reality from its state of deep sleep and he remembered that the annoying noise was something that he had cooked up to ensure that he wasn’t late for a rather important day in the life of his cousin, Victoire Weasley. Not to mention the person he had always considered family but would now actually be related to, by marriage at least, Theodore Lupin, otherwise known as, Teddy.
Jumping out of his bad, Fred looked around the room for his wand, eventually finding it on the floor [goodness knows how it got there], and aimed it at his little home made alarm clock, uttering a couple of well chosen words, and listened as the noise ceased. “Well I guess alarms can work,” Fred muttered to himself as he made his way out of his room and into the bathroom across the hall to get done. He was alone in the family home, his parents and sister having made their way to France the day before. His sister had made a fuss over the fact that Fred got to stay behind, but their mother had made it clear to her that she was still in Hogwarts, and even though she was of age, that meant that she was still a child and she would do what she was told. In all honesty it hadn’t been that easy to get Angelina to allow Fred to stay, but George had reminded Angelina that Fred could move out of the house at any time he wished and then she would have no say at all and that ended the conversation right there.
Once he was clean and had cut his hair a tad [with the use of magic of course] Fred starting putting on his outfit for the nuptials. He has decided on a nice smart casual pair of pants of a dark blue shade and a white shirt finished off with a tie that matched his pants, except for the magically conjured Weasely emblem that he had placed on its centre. To complete the look Fred put on a dark blue robe, he was a wizard after all, attending a marriage of a witch and wizard. After he had applied some aftershave and had styled his hair to look rather well manicured, Fred looked himself over as he gazed at his reflection in the mirror. “Perhaps I can do this adult thing,” he smirked as he picked up his wand from the bed where he had tossed it after finishing off in the bathroom. A second later and he had disappeared from the room.
Fred appeared seconds later down the road from the house where the wedding was to be held in the back yard. As he made his way down the road he took in his new surroundings. It was obvious he was no longer in England. The houses seemed so different and not to mention very girly, but it was the perfect place for a wedding. Arriving at the doorstep of Victoire’s grandparents’ house, Fred politely knocked on the door. Soon he would be baring witness to Victoire and Teddy finally getting their acts together.

Dominique wouldn't possibly ever really want to go to a wedding for Vicky and Teddy, she didn't quite understand why she had to really. None the less he concluded to send a message that actually had some truth, she had to volunteer her services invading a French camp of death eaters. She knew the way around and knew how to act so really she didn't really honestly like the idea of letting her comrades blunder in for no good reason. Dominique was despising the very thought of letting them walk into a bloodbath in all truth, so she conjured up her patronus and said what she needed to say. Not really caring about how tramatic it might be for some of the members of her family of how it was sent but she thought otherwise the people in charge would send out search parties. Unable to believe that Dominique would do that to her sister, the sad thing is that she would and in fact did, with a reasonably good excuse.
Victorie would know exactly what Domi's patronus looked like, a lovely little fox she conjured up claiming it was the memory of when she first began hearing again. No longer plagued with such a ridiculous voice as she was cursed with as a child and through the times of loosing her hearing when in fact it was something more sinister. Remembering the shock that was on the faces of those muggles she falsely accused was incredibly priceless and worth remembering. The sly cunning nature of this event was shown here and influenced such a beautiful corporeal form known as the fox. Distinct by a silvery streak across it's forehead that was even strange for actual foxes to have, to show the sort of ugly she wished sometimes she was, just so she wasn't related to Fleur or her sister. Smiling slightly she picked up the pace by speaking in her soft voice of fake apology, knowing it would fool practically anyone.
Harry himself would have no control over whether or not Dominique attended and would agree she was needed for the France Expidition, as many were calling it. Deciding at her words was something that came so easy to her it actually managed to startle her, "Victorie, on your day of holy matrimony I sincerely apologize, for I will not be able to attend. The wizards in France are kicking up some sort of hell for some reason, and that is my job as only just an auror in training to go make sure they don't offend everyone while trying to calm them down. Make sure neither of you drink to much and look like an ass in your wedding photos! Sincerely yours, your absentee sister, Dominique." Then sending of her message after she wrapped it up in a ball of light she headed home to pack. Smiling slightly at the thoughts that were racing through her own head as she walked into the street the ministry was hidden on and disappeared into the crowd. Dominique was proud of the sort of liar she had become but everything was getting just a bit to easy at times she couldn't help but chuckle.

Post by .Alice Vyrei Trev'na ! on Mar 21, 2011 20:10:20 GMT -5
"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and... bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant."
Sun glared with a lack of mercy through the horribly translucent curtains as Alice Trev’na blinked away her latest dream in exchange for the lightly shaded innards of her bed chamber. She lay there for just a moment, head resting upon the over plush pillow as amber eyes glared scornfully out the window. Digits flexed tentatively as a weary sigh escaped her throat, her body protesting quite firmly the idea of leaving the bed. A child’s footsteps suddenly thundered down the hall past Alice’s room, the unfamiliar sounds and utterances of the French hotel finally bringing the witch into wakefulness. With an inward moan the blonde creature finally managed to pull herself out of the sheets towards the washroom.
Her rooms which had at first had been a well manicured space was now pockmarked with dust flecked tomes and half decaying scrolls partially unfurled. Some might have chosen to be out enjoying themselves before a wedding, but Alice Trev’na saw little entertainment in pursuing such frivolities simply to show her face for the sake of the family. Instead much to Mrs. Pramitt’s dismay, her mistress had taken half her literary collection and potions scrolls along for the trip.
The hazel surface felt like silk to her touch, her wand was perhaps one of the only steadfast companions in her life. There was her sister Anna of course, but she was off with their mother in the safety of Aunt Fa’vaille’s home in London, and it was rare for the sisters to see each other for any length of time. Alice paused as she set the wand in the sill of the high set window in the washroom, a soft breath escaping her lungs as a thin tracery of thought glided through her mind. There was of course Henry she admitted silently as pallid hands turned the water spout on to toss a sobering curtain of water over her face. Alice suppressed a sharp intake of breath as the liberating cold of the liquid sharpened her awareness and brought her fully awake. Yes there was Henry, that frustratingly complex enigma that she could hardly begin to solve. Clever was hardly the proper word to describe her most challenging rival, and indeed he was a challenge, though Alice would go far out of her way to conceal that fact. He was something undefined, something beyond the cool confidence logic offered, and it drove Alice to the very edge of her mind attempting to riddle him out.
She pressed her lips into a thin line as the witch glanced distantly at her reflection in the mirror hanging just over the sink. Alice knew exactly how she regarded those around her, whether they simply be passing shadows, barely worth recollection, or vibrant images worth every moment of her time, and so far only one person had managed to cling to that latter category.
~Rose colored silk fell into place with a soft swish of fabric as it dropped to her ankles. The silvery sheen of the material rippling pleasingly as she moved, gliding with little effort about the low heels she wore. The shoes were understated like most everything she wore, a muted gold hue and elegantly simple in structure. Alice as always decided to forgo any proper jewelry, she rather despised the gem encrusted peacocks that frequented realm of the wealthy socialite and decided against a necklace and earrings. Instead the only touch of glimmer came from a small similarly rose colored hair pin that was made of a mildly translucent crystal set at the side of the loose bun she had arranged
All preening aside, Alice had steeled herself for the day to come. Weddings in all truthfulness were a lovely idea from her perspective, but the witch often believed that in the face of difficulties the worst would always emerge in individuals. Nothing lasted, no one was perfect, and trust was such a frail, lonesome little thing.
The door to the hotel room closed behind the Trev’na witch with a subdued click as she pushed forward, hoping in silence that something would save her from the dull pleasantries and boorish frivolities that she presumed were to come. She had come simply for the wedding, and perhaps for the wordless hope that the ceremony stood for. That perhaps life was more than riddles, more than besting rivals, and perhaps Alice had been missing the answers all this time.

--------------------------------------Marriage is the only war in which you sleep with the enemy. The owl pecking at Henry's window awoke him slowly. He absentmindedly groped for his want at his bedside table and pointed it at the window, he ran the incantation through his mind and the window opened. With a small thud, the owl landed on the table and Henry reached for seven knuts to pay the owl for the Daily Prophet. Henry rolled back over in bed and yawned without even attempting to stifle it. The bed was warm, and cozy, and the pillow was soft. "Henry, are you awake?" his mother called to him from behind the door that connected their rooms. "Yes, mum," he lied. The teenager closed his eyes for a second and then flung them open to see that he was not in his bedroom at home, but in a hotel room. The wedding he groaned in his head.
Henry groggily sat up and put his cold feet on the floor. He hated hotels. They were so foreign to him-even if they weren't in another country. He sat on the edge of his bed for a moment as he ran through what he needed to do immediately in his head. A shower would be good, he thought. And so, he braced the morning and stood up, walking to the bathroom and turning on the water. After a significant shower, Henry walked back into his room to find a note underneath his wand. Slightly disgruntled by the fact that someone had touched his wand, he read the note.
Your father, sister, and I will be downstairs for breakfast. Hurry up as much as you can! -Mum
"Yes, mum," Henry said aloud. It was funny because his mother wasn't in the room. He reached for his suitcase and pulled out the set of dress robes he had brought for the occasion. The occasion being the wedding of Ted Lupin and Victoire Weasley. As he got dressed, he thought about the wedding. He at least knew of the two getting married. Henry couldn't count (well he could, he just didn't want to) the number of weddings he had been to simply because his father had been invited. And his father, being him, accepted every invitation to every event that ever existed. Ever. And so here Henry was, tying the tie of his robes that he would wear to yet another wedding. He hoped that, since he knew the people getting married, he would know someone there that could entertain him during the long hours that preceded and followed the actual ceremony.
Henry now stood in front of the bathroom mirror, having just brushed his teeth. He put a tiny dot of hair product on his palm and ran it through his hair- if he didn't, his mother would. Once his hair looked appropriately disheveled, he turned the lights out, put his wand and wallet in the inside pockets of his robes and headed out the door. He stood in front of his door, clasping his watch onto his left hand, as he noticed someone coming out of the door to his right. "Oh. Hello."

Don't talk out loud. You lower the IQ of the entire street
Another pointless social event was all Alice considered the wedding then as she forced herself to slip out of her room, knowing well the dreary hours of drab conversation that were to come. Muggles and magical folk alike seemed to adore finding reasons to celebrate and throw silly little events bedecked in faux flowers and sugary sweets; thought granted Alice had a weak spot for sweets. Still the Ravenclaw girl could hardly even imagine, even with her intellect, the amount of time wasted in the world by candid conversation and needless ceremonies. A sigh escaped her throat as she shut the door behind her with a soft click; the movement slowed by both the dredges sleeps still weighing down her limbs, and her lack of interest for the festivities to come.
The witch turned then, finally making up her mind to get through this day without complaint, her feet suddenly coming to a halt, eyes flaring slightly in subdued astonishment.
“Henry?”
She had never seen the Gryffindor in proper dress robes; then again, she had never really allowed fellow students to see her garbed for some ridiculous socialite gathering. A muted flush hit her face out in mortification at the thought of her only proper rival seeing her in a bloody dress. And of course it had to be pink, she thought as her mind retched at her decision to wear the rose colored blunder. Even if she had wanted to taunt him over his own efforts to preen, there was not much to target. Regrettably for Alice, in her opinion, Henry cut a far more respectable image than herself. Words caught in her throat, a hasty defense erected as her body went ridged.
“What in the name of sanity are you doing here?” The question falling out before the witch had a chance to stop herself. She still hadn’t managed to clear her face of the shock, her skin paling a bit as the blood drained from her face.
Finally her lips went tight into that tell tale line, her features going smug as defenses slid cleanly into place.
“And please tell me you are not here of your own free will. That would be horribly disheartening.” Alice said with distaste, reminding herself once again of the loathsome boredom to come.
Though all in all, if her adversary was around for her to spar with, perhaps all was not lost. This at least brought a flicker of hope to her mind as Alice crossed her arms abruptly, both to cover the atrocity that was the rose hued dress she wore and to take up her favored stance when contending with the Gryffindor wizard. Perhaps after all the day was not entirely lost.

--------------------------------------I couldn't resist. What about you? "Yes, Trev'na, because it is so like me to go to the wedding of two people I barely know," he said sarcastically. But as he finished latching his watch, he sighed and said, "Unfortunately, at least one of us has appearances to keep up, so we'd better get going." Henry gestured towards the staircase for Alice to go first- normally he wouldn't have bothered, but for some reason the occasion seemed to call for something more formal than what the two were used to.
After a brief check-in with his family, Henry held out his arm for Alice to take and apparated outside of the wedding. It was a... sight. That was for sure. Very bright and fancy- not something that Henry was particularly pleased to be surrounded by, but it was sort of an unspoken rule that Henry would always be on his best behavior during these sort of social events. Nevertheless, as many opinions of marriage Henry had for himself, he was genuinely happy for Ted and Victoire.
Alice and Henry soon found themselves within a large gathering of people- everyone talking amongst themselves. And, once again, Henry found himself fairly alone within a large group of people- just as he had felt with Alice that morning at the café.

Post by .LUCY MARIE WEASLEY ! on Mar 23, 2011 17:01:24 GMT -5
Lucy looked at her reflection for the fifteenth time that day. Five of those times just to check her bright red hair. Usually Lucy wouldn’t bother that much with it, her hair was easy to fix around and usually she just wore it loose with curls. But this was Vic and Ted’s long awaited wedding and she really wanted to look her best. Finally happy with her looks she turned around and rapidly ran down the stairs to meet her family. She wasn’t sure how many people would attend, but from the Weasley side alone there would be plenty. Lucy herself had been waiting for this wedding since both had started to date, in her truthful opinion they made a perfect couple. Even their daughter was completely adorable. Teddy had taken his time thought, but today would be the day and Lucy wanted to be there.
Also she knew that the wedding would probably be filled with quite the few French boys. Something she was sure her father would kill her if he knew she was thinking about it. Lucy smiled and blushed, her young face now the color of her hair. She looked at her mother and received a sharp glare. Maybe he was aware of her thoughts after all, parents were good at those thing. Or at least her mom was when it came to boys and his girls. Or more importantly her father knew when his girls were thinking about boys. Lucy smiled innocently and looked away while tapping her fingers lightly against her leg. At last Lucy apparate with her mother to the Delacaur’s home. Lucy still felt strange about the whole apparition process and rested against the wall until the feeling eased.
She looked around the house. It was a lovely home, it wasn’t the first time she had visited the country. But usually she stayed in hotels. It was her first time in a wizard’s family home. Thankfully it wasn’t so different from her house, at least in the sense that they had many of the same things lying around. It seemed that her father once more had caused them to be extremely early. Lucy sighted it wasn’t like she would be able to stay at home with all the excitement she was feeling. She thought about checking on Vicky, but the bride was probably busy getting ready. Lucy decided not to bother her and instead see her with everyone else once the party began. Instead she chose to walk outside once more, sit down and wait for the other guests. Maybe Fred would arrive and they could talk.
She enjoyed talking with her cousin Fred. Even if she wasn’t able to talk about some things, mainly her current crush on a Slytherin. That would probably lead him to kill her. Lucy sat near the entrance, because there weren’t that many people around just yet. There was no need for Lucy to find the table designed for her and probably the other cousins. Plus in her current location she was able to see who came in. Lucy sighted standing up once more and walking into the house. Things looked busier now that people were walking around getting things ready. Lucy couldn’t wait for the wedding to start already. She turned and began to help the others finish setting things up. It was faster and easier thanks to magic, but everyone wanted everything to be perfect.

Bored! Bored! Not much got in to the criminal classes. Good job I'm not one of them.
Obviously Henry was not the sweetest thing in the morning hours Alice remarked internally with the lightest taste of sarcasm about her thoughts. Weakly she rolled her eyes in a half attempted motion at the lack of his classic eloquence. Any other day they might have fallen into their classic parade of cynical banter, but today Henry was utterly to the point. Granted it was a bit refreshing the witch considered silently before acknowledging his latter statement with a somewhat weary nod. The entire reason she was at the bloody wedding was for the sake of appearances. Her mother, regardless of her declining state of mind would never stand for the Trev’na name to be tarnished simply because her daughter did not enjoy social events.
For all appearances Alice attempted to keep up the visage of an individual irritated fully by her mother’s efforts to keep the family name pristine, but the witch held a soft spot for her mother’s pointless labors.; As they were all Vivian Trev’na had left to devote her failing psyche toward after Adrienne left the household.
Alice cast these thoughts aside as her mood did not need another reason to go sour before the day had barely begun. By this time, after removing herself from the confines of the internal conversation she had been absorbed in, Henry had sorted out arrangements with his family, Alice proffering the slightest of nods to the headmaster in passing.
Reluctantly she accepted her rival’s proffered arm, a wordless consent she presumed, that they would be taking the trip together. A faded pop was the only sound as they two seventh years abruptly disappeared from sight. Alice remained impassive as new scents and sights assaulted the two of them, the scenery changing from the interior of the hotel to a gathering of guests before the wedding. Silken fabrics surrounded the two as the press of individuals grew heavier as more and more guests arrived.
“You must be as enthused about this as I am…” Alice remarked dryly to Henry.
Though, granted, Alice was generally happy for anyone of a sane mind lucky enough to find another sensible individual worth spending the remainder of their life with. It gave a flicker of hope to the concept of 'love' was not something simply found in fairy tales. Still that thought did not take the sting out of the boredom that was slowly taking root.
