STRENGTHS;;
- Care of Magical Creatures; this particular subject has been more than favorable for her over the time she was at Hogwarts, not only did she prefer the company of animals to humans but she could try and get along with them better than most would. This made this subject more than easy for her, it was obvious when she would spend
the most time researching and trying to impress her professor. Her affinity with animals later translates because she spent the most time with them during her summers and hardly ever talked with her family. - Quick Thinker, Impromptu; This is another strength that ties in with lying and not to mention her memory, she can think on her feet if need be. Although she has been known to slip up and smooth it over, which is where the lying comes in handy. This doesn't however mean, in day to day life that she is at all skilled at arguing, she has been known to slip up.
- Espionage; with a childhood of lying through her teeth its only natural for her to further the talent. She over time has developed different identities, and has a good sense of reading people if she is impersonating someone and only has a handful of facts. With a knack for changing accents, she can blend in although her pale skin sometimes makes in harder to. Often she will have some trouble but usually smoothes it over with the best plausible excuse she can come up with.
- Healing spells; a childhood of living basically with hospital equipment she has learnt a thing or two about spells that kept her alive. She also knows a considerable amount of combat healing spells, for the occasion when anyone in her family came home injured. Only learning this field so in depth because she doesn't like hospitals, otherwise she most likely wouldn't have focused on something like this.
- Loyal; no matter what has happened to have most women in her position consider leaving her husband she still stays by him through thick and thin. Mind while she grows weary she couldn't ever imagine leaving his side. Astoria all her life has at times grown tired of staying staying loyal or began to disagree, she will not easily betray someone, even if they have her. This leads to trying to be the 'better person' or just a different agenda all together, it depends on the situation.
- Memory; while she's an excellent liar she developed a certain memory for situations to keep track of her story. She has some photographic memory for landmarks, or simple facts and figures. Astoria does remember a majority of certain books she has read that however doesn't mean she remembers them all or can quote word for word unless she liked a certain passage.
WEAKNESSES;;
- Family; more specifically her children and husband, she would go to the end of the earth for them and if it came to it she would find herself torn between saving herself and saving them. Although her children betrayed her she still is deeply insulted when someone mentions them in a bad tongue, but also will retaliate if they try and incarcerate Draco for any reason.
- Addicting substances; although her immune system is constantly battered if she has reached a rocky point in her life, she will not hesitate to turn to anything addicting. She has a particular fondness of muggle addictive substances and sometimes delves into them if she's able to keep it from her husband. She considers these an alternative to basically anything else, which is ironic for someone so educated.
- Wordless magic; Astoria at times has had some trouble with learning spells wordless although she can do them wandless easy she still needs to mutter. She doesn't know whether it's because she doesn't like being silenced or simply an ability she has been gifted with, she doesn't know.
- Cooking; This became a particular curiosity for Astoria when she was younger, while her aunt worked to help her become well rounded, she wished to try this practice. Although since she thought house elves were creepy often needed to have them all out of the kitchen before she would learn from her aunt, Hestia. Astoria's aunt had been rather skilled at Potions so the cooking was a furthering of her curiosities, something which made lessons easy. The student, Astoria however had some considerable trouble grasping this concept.
- Potions; usually for any person practicing magic over time harnessing potions will eventually give them an opportunity to cook and be rather skilled at the culinary art. Astoria still tried her best but could barely scrape by with an acceptable, this was because she wrote extensive essays to make up for the lack of potion making.
- Stubborn; also at times being rather outspoken is from being suppressed most of her childhood, and occasionally in school by Pansy and her sister. She believes in a right of free speech and encourages several to speak their mind. Although it may be considered good that she encourages free speech she also has considerable agitation to her when someone tells her to be quite. Although she will calm down sometimes it's only because she choose to, it's not because the situation needed her to.
GOALS;;
- keeping the dark mark of her arm
- bring her children back home
land her childhood crush(she's married to Draco)
ERISED;;
- To see her daughter and son come home
- to move away from London and seek refuge in another country, away from all the fighting
BOGGART;; Her husband being taken away to Azkaban.
PATRONUS;; When she was younger it was a swarm of butterflies, know however it's a serpent. The memory that casts this patronus was of when Later however her patronus changed when her husband first started to court her. The memories would be anything while she thought of him, whether it was the flirting or compliments. Later though it became the happiness she felt when he proposed to her.
DEMENTOR;; When the dark lord came to visit her family and tortured her while her father tried to defy the dark lord. Astoria was only twelve at the time, and it made a horrid impression on her, especially when her aunt had to beg in order to made her father give in.
OVERALL PERSONALITY;;
Astoria expects nothing of the world around her after being let down to many times as a child, so it's basically a defense mechanism. Without any expectations from her husband she hasn't ever tried to change him, although she has at times grown weary. Her dependence on alcohol or any other substance is from many days of doing so to rebel as well not to mention merely taking it on as a coping device. For a death eater's wife she is rather stubborn in all truth, although she knows when to behave she will have some times where it will come back to bite her. Despite everything she has been through with her husband, most women would have left him. She however remains strongly loyal at times out of duty but in truth it is out of love and adoration.
She grew up being rather self sufficient so whenever she has to work in a team she is far from useful unless she sets her mind to the task. Astoria can't stand overbearing personalities because she knows full well she can take care of herself. While at the same time she advocates not needing to rely on anyone she encourages those around to speak their mind. Although she has kept a certain rule, 'no politics at the dinner table' because of the rising tensions in the outside world. She just wanted some time for it not to affect her day to day life, which she considers meals at the dinner table.
Her dress code is something that reflects her personality in a big way, more specifically the weapon of a pocket knife she keeps with her. While Astoria is a witch, she will still keep a pocket knife concealed so if she is ever dragged into anything she has some kind of defense. She knows full well that she may not be a powerful match for anyone twice her size in fact she will admit that she isn't the best. This however doesn't mean that she wouldn't fight to get out of any trouble that she gets into. This fight of a spirit that's in her is part of the reason why she was able to survive the previous war.
SOMETHING VERY WICKED
THIS WAY COMES LOVE
PLAY BY;; KRISTIN CHENOWERTH
EYES;; hazel
HAIR;; blonde
HEIGHT;; five foot three inches
WEIGHT 120
MARKINGS;; She doesn't have the dark mark because her parents didn't want her to have any part in the war because she was so small and not worth the dark lord's time. She does have some scars across her stomach from when a beam fell down on her, Astoria's blonde hair hides any scars she has on her head. This however is the reason why her hair is so long, you can faintly see the scars along her hairline of the back of her neck. She sometimes lies and says those are from falling down the stairs after she tripped on her sister's cat. Down her back the scars were not as properly healed after the crutiatus curse.
OVERALL DESCRIPTION;;
She's nearly a foot smaller than her husband and has some considerable effort put into hiding her height. Whether it's wearing platforms or merely wearing high heeled shoes or sitting down rather than standing. Astoria always puts a considerable amount of time to make sure she doesn't look feeble. Despite how she looks she can protect herself in an assault. She hates her hair long and prefers it to be cut short whether she keeps it wavy or straight down, although her hair has always been blonde she still couldn't even stand it if her hair got to long. Often for some assignments she will completely makeover her look, one reason but a very insignificant one of why she wears her hair so short. It is entirely easier to gather together intelligence when she has a different hair color sometimes. Make up is used as well but generally it has come down to using the polyjuice potion, mind you she often needs to get someone else to make the, 'blasted brew'.
Astoria has had magically assisted metabolism on top of naturallly assisted so she hasn't really ever had trouble with her weight. In truth it's been keeping the weight which is another story entirely, almost craving the chance to gain some birth weight, although even trying to limit her day to day routine she still couldn't stop herself from losing the weight. It's always been an insecurity of hers, something which hasn't gone away even as she gets older. Astoria's genetics not to mention not getting a fair start is the reason why she believes she's been cursed with such a short height,and especially her reason for not being particularly, 'endowed' not that she cares however. She had considerable markings from when she was tortured as a child, however after ditanny was applied to the injuries it wasn't as noticeable. Although down her back, its noticeable yet faded scars which is why she doesn't wear anything without a back. Sometimes appearance spells are used only if need be, because she believes it a waste of time when she can just cover up her back. Although if she needs to wear a bathing suit, you can see where the spell comes in handy.
Usual wear for her is frankly anything that she can get away with wearing, an occasional Lolita look for when she is feeling daring. She is often rather modest in her dress code, not hesitating to throw some make up or jewelry if she thinks it will go well. At times though she has been known to wear muggle clothing, this is only to blend in really. She will never admit that she thinks it's more comfortable than her witches clothing. Astoria carries herself with an elegance, rarely ever slouching unless she is in character. She has the ettiqute which has lead her to develop certain ways of handling herself. Usually whenever she is out, she has a pocket knife in a handle attached to her thigh, or somewhere concealed with her wand more readily at hand. Although she will sometimes cover up her arms it doesn't mean that she will deal with the dark mark well at all, which is why she has no interest in getting it.
IS THE SAME OLD STORY
WHITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ENDING
PARENTS;; Alchepius & Candice Greengrass; currently somewhere in America
Hestia Greengrass; is her aunt but like a second mother to her, a proper mother. Currently her aunt has been staying in Australia but is based in America, hasn't returned to Europe for frequent trips since Astoria married Draco.
SIBLINGS;; Daphne Greengrass; she isn't sure whether her sister married or not but guesses she either whores herself out or is dead. Astoria honestly doesn't care what happens to her sister and is actually rooting for the second option. She guesses however that Daphne might have married just to try and keep up with her younger sister, which Astoria is sure such a stubborn and jelous woman would find a way even from the grave.
CHILDREN(?);; Scorpius & Alectrona Malfoy; both children are currently living with order members...she doesn't talk about it.
FRIENDS;; She's friends with whoever she needs to be in order to reach her ultimate goal only can't find the effort to associate with anyone shallow. But sometimes forces herself to associate with them if need be.
ENEMIES;; Anyone who was involved in taking her children from her, something she despises them for.
PERSON OF IMPORTANCE;; her husband, children
HISTORY;;
In Grindewalds time the Greengrass Family escaped to America where they slowly built up their own private investigation agency. This was until after the war eventually was won by Albus Dumbledore, they still stayed there for a short time until most of the women of the family missed their homeland. Some returned to the English homeland whereas others still stayed in America, this actually went on for a generation. Although some born still went back after growing up hearing about Europe and all it's wonders. This lead several to grow up in Europe as well as America, although it at least ten years after Grindlewalds death, 1955 to make this so. There after the Greengrass Family still kept a pure-blood status out of tradition however there is no record of them ever becoming involved with either side. Most believe this is because they just were good about keeping under the radar which is why there is no record, unless you are a part of the family and involved deeply in the history only then will you know the truth. They like the Lovegood family were simply not asked, so frankly no one bothered to utilize their talents.
Over the years a new dark lord began to surface causing worry in the family, once again they set up a detective agency to help those who were misplaced in the war with Grindlewald. This again caused worry among the family as they spoke about leaving for good until some of the younger generations felt the call of duty so to speak. The 1960's is when the family is once again divided only this time it becomes for good, leaving only those who would side with Voldemort in Europe. Although others believed they didn't have a choice and were either killed or were convincing liars. This is when they were forced to close their private investigation agency, and were moved into the ministry. Although the agency was being shut down, there was still some posts in service throughout the war. Alchepius Greengrass in particular was one who was trying his best to bury himself in work as a healer so he would be able to stay neutral. This was working rather well until over the war with Voldemort he was known to help practically anyone who needed help. While he worked he met Candice when she came in as a stabbing victim, she apparently had been attacked by an ex-boyfriend who used a magical knife. Not only did Alchepius treat her at all odds but he recommended his sister Hestia who was an extremely skilled Lawyer. Over time they got to know each other and soon they were married after they planned to start a family.
This was during the time of peace which began to prove well not only this but they also were able to get along with several kinds of people. Becoming an on-call doctor for their investigation office while he worked at St. Mungos. Over time Candice was driven to get a nursing degree so she could become an assistant at St. Mungos but then when she was pregnant with Daphne got training to be a counselor. Later on during her job with the counselor exactly two years after Daphne's birth she was pregnant with Astoria, and found some considerable complications with the pregnancy. Nearly losing Astoria once, she had to give birth to her premature after staying stable for those two vital weeks. Even with St. Mungos advanced technologies Astoria was still extremely small and often got sick with even the slightest chill. She was taught to avoid muggles, that were ridden with germs and filth and to never go near other people. This caused her childhood to be extremely cut of especially when she could never be able to keep friends with anyone really. Candice only took her eldest daughter, the one full of vitality and less susceptible to disease to work with her, often leaving Astoria at home with only the house elves and neglectful relatives or emotionally withdrawn medical staff.
Astoria's first sign of magic was when she blew up her sister's birthday cake watching the party from upstairs, she was made to stay in her room but snuck out to get sight of the cake and her sister. Since her parents invested most of their time into Daphne because they didn't believe that Astoria would grow up to even amount to anything let alone live a proper life, she felt the jealously as a young child. She tried her best to earn their love for so long, but then after that gave up and found refuge with her aunt. Hestia for a long time had been away on business and hadn't noticed the situation with her brother's family. This wasn't until she took a few months of to treat herself when she noticed how long it took Candice to turn and see a picture Astoria had colored and wished to put on the noticeboard. Seeing that Daphne merely cried to distract Candice when she finally turned to Astoria, taking away any attention the girl had seemed to get from Hestia's sister-in-law and previous client. Shocked by what she saw, Hestia stepped in and scooped up a rather small Astoria in her arms who was already struggling with a new set of tears and beginning to waver where she stood. Getting to know her neice in Astoria's room she stood and listened as the little girl hooked herself up to magical breathing devices, a substitute for magic when Alchepius had no medical staff working at the house.
Visiting more often and teaching Astoria about magic and giving her as much schooling so she wouldn't be behind Daphne's skill level. Then later teaching her how to meditate, then later starting on self defense without a wand. Although her body was still weak, she made the most of it and ended up training the younger majority of her life. As she grew and got more exercise she wasn't as handicaped by childhood illness as she was before, finally being able to get out of the house. With her rising ability however Daphne grew jealous and began to lie in order to get her into trouble. Astoria realizing that taking the high road wouldn't be an option if she wanted to get anywhere in life was soon able to tell far more convincing lies than her sister. With all the academics and the training she underwent to discipline her mind, it was surprising when she finally was able to attend Hogwarts that she wasn't sorted into Ravenclaw. The sorting hat truly considered her for that house however soon realizing a deeper person was underneath such a studious exterior it cried Slytherin without a second thought. Which was rather lucky, considering an alternative plan of Astoria's would be to burn it along with a blue and grey house flag if there wasn't a call for her to move to Slytherin Table.
Entering school with the knowledge that her sister was already a young socialite she knew there would be a particular group of Slytherins that she wouldn't be all to fond of. This in fact began a feud with her and the group of harpies that were only thirteen years of age. Astoria most often would keep to herself often associating with boys who seemed less concerned with being nasty and more about keeping a status over others. Truthfully she thought they were more tolerable than those who used words rather than the boys with fists basically. She had a few friends here and there in other houses only realizing that she need to be more discrete about some friendships. Astoria had a feeling that it would cause some great unrest with others and over time began to play several roles. Often tying up her hair and rearranging it in different ways to change her appearance, allowing her to continue her day to day associations. Hestia had instilled in her a belief that everyone had a hidden talent, even the lowest of muggles or squib alike. Astoria came to see these talents and over time had been in habit of learning to mimic or merely use their talents to complete her own means. She didn't honestly know what the future had in store for her, all she knew was one thing, 'to keep your resources close at hand' because once she felt prepared she felt better about herself.
Although her second year was the summer her parents were planning to go into hiding, this was after the a first apparent sighting of the dark lord. Her parents soon planning to bury themselves further in their work, trying to make it seem like they weren't any use anywhere but the hospital wing. Their plans however were entirely futile because after the second rise when Alchepius, Astoria's father was overlooked, he had grown famous over the time Voldemort went into hiding. Since the dark lord wanted nothing less than the best, he decided to 'convince' Alchpeius to favor death eater patients over just any ordinary person, basically ensuring he had a successful healer on his side. Personally wanting to see the downfall of someone rumored to be so narcissistic he approached the house. Astoria observed this from upstairs while she was hooked up to a breathing machine, she was recovering from a magical strain of leukemia. While she hadn't been prone to much disease for quite some time, she still wasn't invincible. Being forced out of her room after long shouting matches downstairs with two stubborn parents against the dark lord. Once being dragged downstairs she realized that one of the sets of voices actually belonged to her aunt, Hestia. Astoria was set next to Daphne, still breathing quick and shallow breaths. Deciding that the only way through to the parents was by force, (although he at first considered hurting them) he decided to torture their youngest child. Someone who looked so terribly frail and did indeed suffer terribly, often looking up to her silent parents in desperation and occasionally glancing to a rebellious aunt who was protesting the torture.
Finally Alchepius broke under his sister's cries for mercy and calling him nothing less than a proud coward. Basically saying that he needed his daughter later, and wished nothing more than to be a full fledged death eater in the ranks of Voldemort. Stating his loyalties to being a healer were trumped by the duty of being a death eater. Previously he was only stating that he was on the dark lords side, know actually an active member in his activities. Although he was used for his purpose as a healer rather than fighting, at this time the Greengrass Private Investigation Agency went on a hiatus of sorts. Not being as public with it's dealings than needed for them to be, know helping those get proper information on whether their families were still alive or dead. The agency in Europe primarily dealt with disappearance when they wanted someone else other than the arours on the case. Or if they thought the arours to busy. The statement made by Alchepius basically meant that he was finally yielding to Voldemort's demands, the dark lord thought it best to keep his end of the bargain after all he had no interest really in killing the girl. He was more interested in her screams than anything that particular day although this may be considered extremely unlikely, he did have another thought going through his mind. According to Hestia the dark lord didn't want any more attention on the family, and also thought it best to keep another pure-blood alive.
Really she was basically just used, something that Astoria had bitterly took from that very conversation and began to loathe her parents. This deep sense of anger began to fuel her time in her third year, becoming more ruthless by the day and trying her hardest to best her classmates. Soon her efforts were recognized briefly by Draco Malfoy, he merely said a few words that remarked, and right away he won her heart. Although she wasn't about to let that get in the way she saw that he had his head on right compared to most in the school. This stability impressed her to no end although he was a bully and frankly giving of the impression that he was shallow she could see that he still had some thought in his head. Astoria would often go and try to challenge his actual line of thought, often sitting by him while he gave his usual self-centered narratives. She however didn't ever give to much of an impression that she was into him, watching bitterly whenever he would walk of to Pansy. Merely at the status of being just friends and despising the very thought of Pansy and him together, she soon attempted to move on and tried to distance herself from him. This however turned out to be the worse thing later occasionally visiting him in the hospital wing and later being with the other death eaters who gave him their congratulations. When the death eaters attacked however, Astoria had her defenses down as was confused for another one of the crowd. From this she had a horrible limp for months after the battle that thankfully went away after Hestia was able to lift the curse.
Then was the aftermath when she once again attended a school ruled by the Carrows where she was elected to torture others. Astoria however began to ask to weed out student organizations that were made to combat the invasion of death eaters. Although this was now her fifth year, she thought maybe if she revealed enough and kept a close eye on the rebels she would avoid getting the dark mark. She saw what great agony it caused some with the pain it caused if Voldemort thought to contact you through the mark. This was Astoria Greengrass in her fifth year basically lying through her teeth to survive, afraid for her life believing they would deem her unworthy and have her killed. During the final battle she kept an eye on the forces below, ready to advise if need be and instead found herself being taken away by her family members. Not her mother and father, it was her extended family that was attempting to snatch up her and Daphne to evade the battle. With a bundle of curiosity in her veins she escaped the easy way out and instead merely kept her head down as she checked the piles of dead for anyone alive. Helping later on to put out the flames that killed Vincent Crabbe before she went of attempting to point out the group to the death eaters. That was when a beam from a classroom she attempted to pass through to get to the death eaters fell. As she screamed for a short time is when she realized that everything wasn't a game, that is what she had kept deluding herself to believe. Thinking that if she played along everything would finally be clear to her, instead of some big secret.
After the battle she was able to evade receiving the dark mark because the death eaters had lost and no one really had any need to force her into anything. She had survived after a few of the extended family had battled through to evacuate any Greengrass family members so they wouldn't be named as supporters. When they were trying to escape, they were met with dementors, she for the first time successfully casted the patronus charm to help shield one who couldn't cast the charm because of the dark mark. Right after this however she collapsed and didn't remember much about finally escaping the castle's walls. A few though had been sent to Azkaban who had gone mad with power and stayed to try and combat arours, refusing to leave with those who were escaping. After the war she decided to stay in Europe, although many of her family retreated to America in order to avoid any repercussions. She tried to continue the private investigation, helping all blood types with a mandatory don't ask, don't tell policy. Although she believed that all of them who were lost was the family's own fault for not leaving Europe and fleeing. Later however she ran into Draco and began to catch up with him, realizing he wasn't with Pansy and hadn't been for quite some time she was more than happy to go out with him. Realizing that he had grown from that ridiculous girl that used to hold onto his arm, she however wouldn't have minded being the same girl. How she and Draco met was actually rather ironic for she decided to steal something from the very place he was working at, and was hardly recognizable at first. While she was also one of the private investigators she occasionally had some extra assignments, she didn't exactly need the money, she just got very easily bored.
Draco however provided endless entertainment with only one hitch that he still practiced pure-blood supremacy. This was an issue Astoria wrestled with for quite some time, wondering whether or not she wanted to be pulled into the same situation yet again. Remembering the time she was tortured so often she finally admitted how much she feared the dark lord to his face. Finding eventually that he to was haunted by the memories of the last war she felt a little closer to him. Saying yes when he asked her to marry him seemed the most logical and best thing in the world. Hestia, her dear aunt had been one of the few to come and try to get her to follow to America, to avoid marrying a Malfoy only she asked to be allowed to maker her own mistakes. Mainly because of the blood feud going on in the generation older than Astoria's, Hestia and her brothers were fighting with one another over differences. Astoria took her aunts side sinc her aunt had always been so kind to her over the years. She however couldn't help but want to stay with him, one of the only boys who ever gave her a compliment at school. While Hestia found it difficult to accept her position, Astoria knew that no one in her family was to thrilled with the marriage. Only really that it was to a Malfoy, a family who obviously had a lot more power than the Greengrass Family, people that were feared. Although she felt his intentions were merely to carry on tradition she still remained ever so loyal to him, basically being an obedient wife to him until the subject came up about children. She knew he would have all the rights to name them and could only say yes, feeling as if it was an obligation. They already were sleeping together regularly, just with protection so it didn't take long for her to get pregnant. This was shortly after Bellatrix Lestrange escaped from Azkaban, leaving Astoria with mixed feelings not feeling up to bringing a child into the world that would only be made to serve.
This caused her to go through a bout of depression for quite some time almost making her an unfit parent when her son was finally born. She knew that her husband went back to work for the dark lady and she to eventually was called into action. Bellatrix had remembered what sort of asset Astoria had been while the Carrow's were at Hogwarts and only gave her simple tasks despite what she remembered. This was so Astoria could raise her son and fill him with knowledge of the dark arts, and then later a daughter, someone that also would be raised to be a death eater. During this time Astoria battled an addiction to whatever she could get her hands on and often, while either drunk or high sit and teach her children what they needed to know. She however didn't give them to much of an education on attacks or even curses and such, leaving that to their father. Astoria focused on honing their minds rather than their abilities for the dark arts. Although as they grew she could sense that something was terribly wrong in her family, she could tell that someone in the family was acting strangely. She's become convinced her daughter has inherited her mother's paranoia... leading to some fights between them.

There was something of an ironic humor with the Greengrass family mansion, well rather estate area found in some corner unknown to even the occupants. Fully equipped with any sort of surveillance over any possible area that was a point of interest, and most of the magical aerials would instead be directed to the latest sport. Astoria was among those laughing and jeering at the silly antics of muggle entertainment, which would go on really as long as there was people to watch. Most of the family had gathered together for the reunion to get some laughs instead of their often morbid choices of activities, such as describing a body count and how they could help the highest bidder. No, today Astoria was able to smile somewhere for once in a long time.
She blamed no one in her household for her thirst to escape somewhere that could make her smile, it was really also a matter of reuniting with family. People who she knew more than anyone was in desperate need of a laugh were those who had lived for money. All the merriment and cheer was clear on anyone's face, something which Astoria took solace in. She however found it hard to locate both her mother and father as well something which she found more than satisfying. Hestia wouldn't do something as cruel as that, inviting them over and such. Something that kept bothering Astoria though was that she hadn't checked on her family in so long. Why was it a nagging thought she wasn't sure, there must have still been somewhere in the house hooked for surveillance.
Astoria would then leave the celebration in silence, and much to her surprise with a few cries of protest. She brushed them of insisting she would be back in a Welsh kind of accent to help her voice project over the ruckus. Thankful she had a chance to step out she wandered down the hall to another center of the house more fixated on intelligence. Poised to ask in the most polite of a manner she broke all composure when one of the screens flickered to her own household. Unable to fully explain the situation to anyone she had left with much haste to find her way over to a fireplace to floo away. Not bothering to argue with relatives that insisted on accompanying her, and hastening her journey back home.
Despite the several protocols that would have had her throwing a fit any other day, finally Astoria set foot into the mansion. Instead of a frenzied fit, with those few at her side entering in the most serious of composures there was only to find no enemies lurking much of anywhere. Her face soon paled, they had neglected to check the upstairs when they entered which all of them had quickly moved up to check. Frightened of any foes they would possibly meet, and with their wands lit to cast any sort of light other than what the moon would show.
Astoria didn't even need her wand in her own bedroom she nearly choked on the air. She was no vampire, but there was some injuries that were not hard to miss. Or the fact she was the only one who bothered to look down. Blood had been dashed across the carpet in front of the door, it was after all nearly impossible to apparate right into their room. Tears trickling, she discarded her wand still allowing it to light with a spell of luminous. Approaching the bed in total darkness, biting back sobs she knew she didn't need a light to now how bad the situation appeared. Kneeling by her husband and calling out in a shaky voice of a authority, gripping his hand and whispering to him it would be alright. Feeling only a slight pulse on his wrist would be enough to still deeply cry at the idea of loosing him.
Not until later would she be somewhat placid about the situation.
