I know you may not wish to hear from the likes of me, but I was your best friend for many years and I remain your housemate and a close friend of the family. As such I find it necessary to extend my sympathy for the current state of your father.
Yes, I am aware that he is in St Mungo’s, you must realize that many of the pureblood families are aware of this and many are as upset and outraged as I am at this moment in time. An attack on a pureblood family like the Malfoys, linked to such an age-old pureblood heritage is upsetting.
Have you perhaps any ideas of who attacked him? There have been rumors, and the rumors are even more unsettling, but nothing has been established as fact.
Anyhow, I merely wanted you to know that although we have our differences at this present moment, this is something that goes beyond what ever petty squabble we might be having. Your father was someone I looked up to for many years, and still do, not having the luxury of a father one can actually look up to. I just wanted to let you know that even though we find ourselves at odds with each other, I will be here for both you and your family.
