Had Raiden rather used the Dark Lady instead of Scorpius grandfather he doubted that he would have got the same response out of his friend. He could see the boy grow paler with what he considered clear anger and it didn’t upset or annoy him, but rather amused Raiden. He found his ability to be able to rile up the ‘Slytherin Prince’ amusing. That he had the ability to pull on his little strings and watch how the boy would react. It was clear that unlike Raiden, Scorpius had no control over his emotion. He allowed it to control him. Yet another display of how inept Scorpius was compared to Raiden’s superiority, and a crystal clear display of how Raiden should have been chosen for the mission and not Scorpius. How could the Death Eaters and the Dark Lady in trust someone who was so easily swayed by something as meaningless as emotion?
Lucius Malfoy had long been the very things that had caused nightmares in the life of Scorpius Malfoy and instead of using it to better himself Scorpius often came to Raiden in confidence and told him how the man seemed to cause a fear that he would never understand with only one look. As a friend Raiden had consoled his friend and had been there for him when he was supposed to be, but when Scorpius had stood up to him and believed that he had the right to go against what had already been decided earlier Raiden had seen the moments of Scorpius weakness in his mind and had seen the opportunity to use it against him. Was that not what a Death eater was supposed to be able to do? Instil an unbelievable fear in those that dared to stand up against to them.
Watching as Scorpius mouth opened and closed in front of him he almost laughed aloud, but kept himself steady as he watched the boy stand and listened to the nest words that escaped his lips. When Scorpius stood and continued to rant on about how Raiden had no right to be telling his godfather anything as he gazed into Scorpius darkened eyes, once again he found himself slightly impressed with Scorpius. This was the boy that was supposed to be his friend. This was who was supposed to be standing by his side as they took down those that were deemed unworthy. Not some weak boy frightened by his own shadow.
Raiden didn’t say anything though and merely sat back against his seat once more as he allowed Scorpius continue. He couldn’t help though as his eyes narrowed as Scorpius mentioned that perhaps he should report it to the Dark Lady and that way he would be rid of Scorpius and he would be able to take his position as the favourite. How dare he believe after all their years of friendship he would do that, even if he did believe he was better for it. Raiden was about to stand up and say something but Scorpius continued and what came out of his mouth next forced his breathing to stop for a moment and everything around him seemed to stop.
Love! How could he be in love with someone he didn’t know? How could he be in love with a traitor? How could he be in love with a Weasley, with the daughter of a mudblood and a blood traitor? His breath returning to him Raiden found himself standing and his body moving toward his friend with a great speed before his right hand landed a punch to the face of his long time friend. As he stood looking at him in utter disbelief and yet knowing that this was the truth and not some idiotic thing that Scorpius had said just to get a rise out of him. He should have seen this coming. How could he have not seen this coming? He laughed before he swung around and starting pacing the common room. “A Weasley? Of all the girls in Hogwarts Scorpius,” he ran his hand through his hair, “What was the Potter girl just not that into you,” he asked sarcastically.

Scorpius eyes widened in shock as he saw Raiden move forward, it would seem that the next step he had been waiting for it since the beginning of their conversation. But not even that knowledge prepared him for the impact and the pain that he was feeling. It wasn’t a pain that came from were the hand had made contact, even if that was bad on its own. But it was more like the pain of the realization that this was probably the final straw in their friendship, that there was no going back now and everything they had once planned together was now completely gone. Scorpius stood up, licking his lips slightly, tasting some of the blood that had curled there. It wasn’t nothing that a few healing spells could not deal with, the other injury was the one that worried him most. The one that he couldn’t just heal with magic, nor could he heal it for himself. He had been mistaken to believe that Raiden would understand, he had been wrong to even think he was his friend at all.
Yet even as his anger had began to calm down, another hot wave ran though his body, turning his pale face bright red. He could take any punch, curse and whatever else Raiden decided to through his way tonight. But the think he would not stand for were insult directed to Rose Weasley or even Lily potter. Raiden could be angry, he could understand that in some small point. Scorpius had kept many things from his supposed closest friend since his younger years. But that did not gave him the right to bring innocent bystanders to their own personal problems. Especially not when those were the girl he liked and the sister of his own newest friend, not when Albus would never say anything bad about his “friend’s” own sister. “You will not talk that way about neither of them in my presence ever again, you filthy fake friend.
Just as quickly as Raiden had moved toward Scorpius, Scorpius now stood before Raiden his hands wrapping around the collar of his white shirt and pushing him down. He could feel his own breath growing stronger as he thought about what to do, he could try to curse him. But Raiden was probably much better in that type of wand dueling. Scorpius himself always found ways to slack of his own instructions with his father, it would be like walking into the open mouth of a wolf. There was only one way to finish this off, at least he knew a bit more about muggle’s own way of dealing with things physically. Something he was sure his own father and grandfather had very little knowledge about him knowing. Scorpius rose his hand, leaving the other wrapped around the shirt, making contact with the face of his long friend.
The very satisfaction of the act scared Scorpius slightly, as he got ready for a second one he thought thinks over, knowing that this was a bad mistake. With this action he was letting everything he knew go, it would probably be soon before Slytherins came down to see what had happened. His father would be rather upset and so would Bellatrix, but he could have not allowed Raiden to get away with insulting those he cared for. He moved his hand down, standing up and releasing the shirt. He could feel burning hot tears filling his eyes, he tried to look over words but nothing sane appeared to be coming to mind. “You are worse than any muggle out there, my friend, my muggleborn friend Kevin was right. It is not worth to be around people so vile like you, it only causes more damage to me.” Scorpius felt strange to confess his long friendship with the Puff, but it wasn’t like it mattered anymore. He could care less about what his dear old friend thought of him anymore. [/blockquote]

There had only been a few occasions where Raiden had lost his composure and those times could all be counted on one hand. He never allowed emotion to over power him, to leave him at the grace of somebody else’s hand because he was no longer in control of his own. The fact that he had not even known that he had covered the distance between himself and Scorpius before landing the punch was, unnerving. How could he allow himself to make such a rookie mistake? Although his physique suggested that he could hold his own in a fight, and perhaps he could if he was forced to due to the fact that he forced himself to work out to maintain his perfect physique, there was no doubt in his mind that Scorpius would have the upper hand in a brawl.
Just as that thought crossed his mind he found himself face to face with the blond haired, blue-grey eyed Slytherin and stood helpless, a position he detested, as the boy grabbed him by his collar and brought his own fist to Raiden’s face mumbling something about Raiden never being able to say anything about the Potter and Weasley girl again in his presence. Although his face smarted at the position that Scorpius hand had made contact with it, Raiden was smirking. It couldn’t be helped. This was the toughest he had ever seen Scorpius act, this was the first time he had seen Scorpius stand up to someone where he had a chance of getting hurt and the fact that the boy believed that he could scare Raiden off with simple words was entertaining, silly boy. If he didn’t know that Raiden did not scare easily or hurt easily by now then it was true that the two of them had never truly been friends and hardly knew each other.
It was with slight disappointment in his eyes as he watched Scorpius hesitate on allowing his fist to make contact with his own face again and watched with gleaming eyes as the boy released his grip on his collar and stepped back. Raiden quickly straightened himself once more gaining his full height and impressing his stature once more, but did not pull his wand out or make any movement to indicate that he might try and acquire payback for what had just occurred. Instead he went about straightening his clothes as he listened with amusedly to what Scorpius had to say. He was once again in full control of himself and could see this situation for what it was. It was the end of a friendship and the beginning of a storm and he would make damn sure that he came out of the eye of it in nothing less then a perfect state.
Raiden neither flinched nor squirmed as Scorpius dared to mention him in the same category as a muggle and showed no emotion as Scorpius revealed that he seemed to be friends with a mudblood. Of course his ex-friend refrained from using the term mud-blood and went along with the politically correct term of muggleborn, which Raiden merely scoffed at in his mind, but showed no sign of done so in his outer appearance. However once he had attained some sort of neatness once again with out the use of a wand, knowing that it would have to wait for the moment, he looked up to stare Scorpius in the eye unblinkingly. “I could care less what your thoughts are about me and even less about what a dirty mudblood has to say about anything.” Raiden was careful to emphasize the word mudblood in an effort to both agitate and perhaps push Scorpius to a point where he might attack him once more, but also to show Scorpius that he was what he was and was never going to change and they were clearly on opposite ends of the spectrum now.

(overdue post is overdue) Scorpius could not remember a time when he had been willing to bring any time of violent behavior, the idea always had repulsed him after having lived it for most of his life. There was already enough violence in his surrounding, while his father nor mother dared to touch their children, his grandfather and Bellatrix had not bothered to show how failure was treated. Yet, he could not accept that Raiden would bring innocent people to their personal brawl. Up until now, Albus had been more than nice to him, in the same manner so had been Rose for that matter. Compared to the treatment he often received from his so called “Slytherin” friends, it was a long way. For once someone wasn’t just his friend in hopes to gain a better status in the wizard community. He wasn’t willing to allow anyone to take that from him, not even his so-called childhood friend.
Yet even with those thoughts in mind, Scorpius was taken back by the idea of allowing his emotions to lead his actions in such a powerful way. Scorpius released his hold on the other Slytherin boy, taking a few steps back. His eyes didn’t live his face thought, he was ready for anything. He wasn’t sure how Raiden would take his actions, in his memory Raiden had always been mostly calm. But things had changed a lot today, the people he had grown up to believe that he had to hate, despise them with every part of his being, were slowly becoming the ones he had to trust. The ones he had once believed to be his trusted friends and family, were becoming faceless monsters that he both feared and wanted to stop.
He knew the true now, he was been forced to pick a path and his encounter right now with Raiden was only the first step, the real step was making the decision of allowing the attack on Hogwarts to go, without trying anything. He could now see it, how close he had been to telling Rose about it. Looking at things now, he wished he had said something to stop this train wreck, people could get hurt. His only option was to maybe contact someone from the Ministry, but who could believe a Malfoy? The only person that came to mind was Harry Potter and even he would have doubts if he knew who he was, unless he kept the message anonymous and even that would make it less believable. He would have to think on that later, there was another serious matter at hand, his full attention returned to Raiden, his teeth clenching in his mouth.
Once he was done speaking, he eyed Raiden was more, awaiting for his response. Thought at the moment, the other Slytherin was busy fixing his own robes. His eyes closed for a moment, gold eyelashes against pale skin made his face look more ghostly than it already was. He had never expected his friendship for Raiden to end like this, for them to end up in different sides of a war that had been going for far too long now. But there was no way he could help it, things had moved this way and not even he could stop the train wreck that he was forced into. For any witness to this discussion it would be hard to believe that this two boys had once shared so much friendship. When Raiden finally spoke, his eyes flew back open. He felt heated again, he could take any insults that Raiden said at him, but to keep going at his friends was far to low.
But the use of the word mud blood, made his stomach curl. Never before he had hated that word so much, muggleborns right now were far better than the so called purebloods, at least they didn’t go around killing and hurting innocent people. “I wouldn’t go around insulting, muggleborns.” Scorpius made sure to emphasize muggleborn, just like he had done with mud blood, he had to make sure to keep this a word battle, before things got out of hand. “After all, I’m pretty sure there are probably a few muggle blood somewhere in your family tree, even if they blast them off, their mark still reminds.
