Amusement.. that was her foremost thought as Al squirmed his way from her and ungracefully fell over the edge of the couch. Some might think a girl would get offended, or at least be disappointed.. to have a boy she liked react the way he was to their advances. However Rory wasn't your typical girl.. and the potion working through her wasn't your average candy filler. Worries that Al might not like her back, that he might even resent her bold actions if he didn't, were out the window.
She knew Albus Potter liked her... enough to have tried to get the point across earlier in the pet store.. when his hand had touch her back.. the memory of it brightened her smirk.. it was so much stronger 'now' ..the warmth of his touch even through her jacket.. the tingle it had sent down her spine.. had her wondering why she hadn't the guts then to show him somehow that she liked him to... a lot. Why hadn't she? It all seemed so simple now.. he liked her.. all the blushes.. the fact that he been exceptionally nice lately.. even for Al.. hell, in her current "clear thinking" state.. she could even piece together the whole hospital wing thing now. Al had liked her, been... affected.. by her touch, and what? Been afraid to let her see it incase she didn't like him? Rubbish.. why would he even worry about that? Why had she ever done so either? She liked him to.. so what then was the big deal, why hadn't she just gone for it? .. Something on the edge of her memory tried to scream the answer, but it was like trying to watch a video on the t.v. set at home when the picture wouldn't come in clear. All fuzzy and and so terribly hard to understand that it really wasn't worth the bother to try.. so she shut it off.
Leaning forward she crawled up to the edge of the fluffy arm of the squashy couch and crossed her arms on it, setting her chin on them as she gazed down at Al. The utter confusion and bewilderment on his face was just to lovable for words and she chuckled softly..nearly a giggle, one brow raising at his words. " Godric your cute when your nervous... and as to what I'm talking about..." She paused in talking to shrug lightly and then lift her head and rise up off the couch. Slowly coming around the corner of it, one hand trailing lightly across the arms fabric before letting it drop at her side while walking over and sinking into a knelled position next to him. Grinning softly she lifted a hand to the tousled mess of hair atop his head and gently smoothed one of the more stubborn black locks out of his eyes to the side.. going with it in the odd ball direction it preferred to get it to cooperate. Her bright pink eyes followed the movement of her hand before they dropped to take in his bright green eyes.. her fingers trailing down the side of his temple and along his jaw line to his chin. All the while she'd been leaning subtly forward till her face was no more than a few inches from his own. Her voice dropped in volume, as if she were sharing some personal secret though it still held a playful tone. " What do you think I'm talking about? ... you like me.. don't you?.. "

This was not happening. This was just a dream, a crazy dream, one that was there to tease him and make him sweat until he woke up, completely lost. To be honest, he had had...dreams, like that. Nothing risque; in fact, most of the time, they were just him and Rory hanging out, but his feelings were doubled, so overwhelming that he woke up and stared at the ceiling for an hour, his mind running over the plan that he so badly wanted to work. He had never had a dream like this, where Rory was coming onto him, like she really fancied him. But, it still had to obviously be a dream, right, because Rory just wasn't this forward, even if he had gotten lucky enough for her to like him back.
So, as Rory crawled to the arm of the couch and rested her head there, looking at him in amusement, Al took deep breaths and pinched his leg hard, praying that he would wake up and the regular Rory would be back. The Rory who made sense, and didn't randomly start being like this, with no hint, no warning. That was why it had to be a dream--because this was too sudden to be the real Rory Blake. However, he didn't wake up, and all that happened was that Rory giggled and called him cute, causing a nervous trickle of sweat to slide down the back of his neck. This was not happening.
He watched, green eyes wide, as she slowly rose from the couch and moved towards him. Albus' hands gripped the carpet as he leaned back on them, resisting the urge to scramble up and run back to his dorm. He drew his knees up slightly so that they were bent, watching with a dry mouth as Rory came and knelt by him. His eyes followed her hand as he reached out and smoothed back a lock of his hair that had fallen into his eyes, and felt a tug at his heart and in his stomach. Without thinking about it, his head tilted into her hand, as she trailed her fingers down his temple and jaw, causing a shiver to run through him. His eyes met her blantantly different pink ones, and Al noticed with a jolt that she was very, very close. And then she asked a question, a question that had him breathing in a shallow kind of way. Why was this happening?
"I..." His voice was hoarse, and practically cracked, causing a light blush to color his cheeks. Her hand on his chin was cool against the heat of his face, and Al could still feel his scalp and temple tingling where Rory had touched him. This wasn't normal, for her. She hadn't ever really hinted at liking him, and not suddenly she was inches from him, asking him to confirm his feelings for her. What had changed? One moment they had just been best friends, drying off from skating, and then she had...had...eaten those chocolate cauldrons that she mentioned tasted different.
Al's eyes widened a large amount as he stared at Rory. Love potion? Was that it?! She was under the effects of love potion, and that was why she was like this. She didn't really like him. She just thought she loved him, had an almost obsession with him. He felt a painful twinge in his chest and looked away from her, wondering what to do. He needed to get her up to the Potions professor and get her fixed, he knew that much, but how was a different story. And how was he supposed to answer her?
"I...yeah, I do," he said, his voice strained as his eyes met her again. She was under love potion. This was not Rory, this was not Rory's true feelings. But she was so bloody close...and her lips were right there, right there for him to taste. What if he just...Would she remember any of this? Didn't the potion cause memory loss of what had been going on? What would be the harm if he just leaned in? No, a voice in his head said firmly. You can't take advantage of her like that, you idiot.
"Do you...do you want to go somewhere?" he asked her nervously, his mind racing to make a plan. He could get her fixed up, surely. She would follow him, if he made this sound like they were going somewhere to...snog. She would like that, under the potion. Would she get the hint, though? Al squeezed his eyes shut tightly, trying to think, with half of his brain screaming for him to kiss her and the other half screaming for him to get away, right now, because this wasn't right. Finally, after a pause, he leaned forward and pressed his lips to Rorys, molding his mouth against hers. He felt himself relax a bit, savoring the taste of her, the feel of her lips against his, the smell that surrounded her. After a few moment he pulled back, opening his eyes to look at her.
"How about it?" he practically croaked, although Al kept his voice soft, so as to hide most of his nerves. Merlin. What had he done? This was not happening. Pulling back from her, he got to his feet and reached out to help Rory up, trying not to shake. He had just kissed her, while she was under a love potion. He had taken advantage of her. How could he feel so low, and so damn good at the same time? He had to get her fixed. Now.

A silent giggle shook her chest lightly and her smile quirked as Al tilted his head into the curve of her hand. Well, he could say as he liked, but it was pretty obvious that he 'did' in fact like the idea of being touched by her, and in a way entirely different from the friendly hair ruffling's and such she'd bestowed upon him in the past. His voice came out all nerves again as he made an effort at answering her only to have his voice nearly crack, his cheeks coloring as a result. He pulled his gaze away from her for a moment and she amused he was trying to get a handle on his shyness..embarrassment.. whatever it was that had him so jumpy.. really she couldn't see a reason for it.
It was ok though.. just made him all the more lovable to her.. and she could be forward enough for the both of them, right? Because.. there really wasn't a reason not to be. She'd liked Al for a long time now... wanted to be close to him like this... what had stopped her before? Something flickered on the edge of of her mind but she couldn't quite see past the blurry and heady haze that seemed to insist she focus on only her physical wants of the hear and now. Al finally found his voice, fessing up to what she already had been assured of with how he'd responded to her hand, and then he surprised her by actually suggesting they go somewhere..more private?
She'd opened her mouth for a reply only to find Al's lips pressed against her own before she could utter a syllable. Not like she was complaining right? So they didn't hold onto the taste of apples..but they were warm and soft and just felt all over right. She relaxed into the kiss right along with him, drinking in the warm and woodsy scent that had so unnerved her before...before what?..she couldn't grasp it.. anyway, How could the way he smelled have done anything but make feel warm and safe and... something very different. Something that had her grinning as he pulled away and stood, biting her lip as he reached a hand out to her that she acepted. Once on her feet she stepped forward towards him. Her gaze dropping to watch as her hands lifted and toyed with the front of his shirt.." I don't know..think we really need to go somewhere else? You know everyone 'is' outside right now..and there's only the one way in yeah?.." She took a step towards him, her hands pressing gently against him, leaning into him till he took a step backwards " ..makes it sort of.. prefect.. "another backwards step" just you, and me..." and another.." and you." She smirked playfully and tipped her head up to look at him, at which point a mock frown touched her lips... " Not really fair is it? ..Having all that height on me? " Her frown crept slowly into a grin and she reached up to place a feather light kiss on his chin, her hands pushing his chest gently so that the arm of the over stuffed chair she'd been backing him towards caught in the crease of his knees and he ended up sitting on it, bringing his head right for the most part level with her own. Grinning she wraped her arms around his neck. Her hands grazing the sensitive downy soft hair at the nape of the back of his neck while her fingers played with the odd tip of a lock of hair that was just long enough to reach them. Inches between them.. she smirked and whispered in that same quite, yet playful voice. "There, that's a bit more fair..don't you think?"

((enter Rosie, the interfering family member >D))
There was nothing Rose loved more than a new armful of sweets. It was no secret to the Weasley household that Rose had a giant sweet tooth, and it had been this way since Rose had turned four and eaten half her birthday cake by herself, which she wasn’t exactly proud of. Relatives still teased her about that, and Rose just let it roll right off, because she did actually have an issue with dessert. Not an issue that she would be looking to fix anytime soon, but an issue all the same. She just…accepted it. She got to eat sugar, and other people got to tease her for it. Sacrifices must be made, you know.
Rose had practically dragged her friends out of bed that morning, even the new girl, Ada, who was usually absolutely horrid in the mornings and would rather charm her curtains shut than get up and socialize. Rose’s cheerful enthusiasm was catching, because soon the whole roomful of sixth year Gryffindor girls were wide awake and chattering about where to go first. Rose ran a brush through her hair, trying to calm it down, and suggested Honeydukes. No one was much surprised. But then another girl insisted on getting a drink first, and then going clothes shopping, and then going to Honeydukes, and by that point Rose was so anxious to be moving that she agreed to the plan and tried to hurry everyone out of the room.
Rose was happy enough to roam Hogsmeade with her friends, but she started getting antsy when she saw Scorpius out and about, and remembered that she would have to talk to him…eventually. And the very prospect made her cringe, as if she were a coward. Rose was ashamed of herself, but she certainly wasn’t going to pull him away from his friends in the middle of Hogsmeade just to ask him if he still liked her. In fact, she needed something to do. Right now. Rose picked a clothing store, went inside, and involved herself with picking out a new outfit. When she emerged from the store, new ensemble in hand, Rose felt much better. She had just needed something to do, instead of focusing on the one thing she wanted but couldn’t bring herself to do.
The bad news was: Rose hadn’t exactly planned on going on a real shopping excursion—she’d planned on watching her friends shop and then buying candy. So Rose’s pockets were empty. And she was not about to go a month without sweets. So Rose decided to run back to Hogwarts, fish up the coins that she had leftover from last month’s allowance, and sprint back to Honeydukes to buy candy.
She was up in her room for about ten minutes, catching her breath (she’d run the whole way back) and searching through every article of clothing she could find until she’d assembled and counted enough spare change for a month’s worth of candy. She collected it into her palm, excitedly shoved it into her pockets, and prepared to run back to her friends. But then she heard giggling from the Common Room as she walked down the stairs, and she could’ve sworn she heard a pair of very familiar voices muttering to each other. But that was ridiculous, because everyone she knew was off at Hogsmeade right now, where they belonged. Where she belonged too, if she ever got back there. The castle had been oddly empty when Rose had sprinted through it, and the Common Room was definitely unoccupied on her way to her dorm. So who was there now? Whoever it was sounded…flirty…
Godric, it was Rory and Al.
Rose tried to avert her eyes, but the fact that she had known the both of them for so long made it nearly impossible not to notice that Al looked like he was nervous enough to lose his mind…and yet Rory seemed fine. More than fine. She seemed almost…aggressive.
Rose could only stare in a transfixed kind of horror and excitement as Rory advanced on her cousin. She wanted to scream “Finally!” at the top of her lungs, but then she started to pick up on subtle things. Like how Rory wasn’t nervous at all, which was more than a little strange for a teenaged girl and a boy she’d never kissed before. And the fact that Al didn’t look happy. It just didn’t look right.
Rose stood near the staircase to the girls’ dorms, frozen in place, the only thing moving being her hands as she picked at a loose thread in her jeans. Then Rory kind of pushed Al backwards and got really really close to his face, and Rose decided it was time to announce her presence, if to do nothing else but get a clue as to what had Al so freaked out. She cleared her throat. ”Rory, Al, you two having fun?” She grinned, but her eyebrows were raised in confusion as she got closer to the couple. ”Rory, you sure seem to know what you’re doing…What are you doing, exactly?”

It was a very Gryffindor thing to not have a plan; or, if you had a plan, to not think the thing through all the way so that you suddenly found yourself in a position you hadn't thought of. Usually, Albus found that he could plan pretty well, his mind able to work out something quick--thinking on his feet, his father had called it, and he usually prided himself in having skill at it. Understandably, though, his mind was in a bit of a frenzy as he found himself with Rory, his best friend, who was under a love potion and was suddenly all over him, wanting to kiss him and be close to him. Had they been strictly best friends, it still would have been hard enough to think, but add onto the situation that he was currently falling hard for this girl, and finding himself in this problem where she seemed to really like him and want him made the whole thing a lot more complicated.
Yet somewhere in Al's mind, the plan to kiss Rory and get her to follow him, so that he could get her fixed up, formed. He hadn't thought it through though, and when he finally pushed forward and pressed his lips to hers, he found himself never wanting to stop. Her lips were soft and warm, forming against his instantly as their bodies relaxed into one another. One of his hands half lifted, as if wanting to reach up and touch her arm, or shoulder, or face--anywhere. A breath brought in a smell of daisies that made his head spin, and he was lucky that one minuscule part of him remembered that this Rory was not acting of her own free will, because that was the only reason he finally pulled back from her and stood up.
Of course, the fact that it had been near impossible to break that kiss couldn't be the only problem to Al's plan. He hadn't thought for a moment that Rory would think of something under the love potion that his own hazy mind never registered--that they were somewhere private, and had no need to go anywhere. As she grabbed his hand and stood up with a grin, Al was about to start tugging her away, when she was suddenly right in front of him once more, her hands at his chest, playing with his shirt. At her words his green eyes widened a fraction, and as she pushed against him and forced him back a step, he felt his jaw slacken, his mind slowly being wiped blank. This was not happening. What was even happening?! He tilted his head down to keep his wide eyes trained on her, as she backed him up a few more steps, hinting that right now was the perfect place and time to continue with what he had stupidly started. And he wanted to--he wanted to very, very badly.
The words she said and the way she was leaning into him had his heart racing, his palms sweating from where they hung at his side. Then, as if it couldn't get any worse, she was suddenly frowning up at him in a very teasing way, saying that him having height on her was unfair. Before Albus could wonder what she meant by that (and his brain wouldn't have came up with anything, as clouded as it was), Rory was lifting up and placing a very light kiss on his chin. His heart thumped particularly hard as his stomach lurched, and when she gave him a push and he sat hard on the couch arm, he wondered whether or not he would keel over from heart failure. However, his luck just wasn't good, it seemed, because the worst was yet to come.
One moment she was standing in front of him, and in the next her arms were around his neck, her fingers brushing the hair at the nape of his neck and a few locks that hung down close. Her face was close to his again, and Al's eyes were drawn to her lips, which were so close, and had felt so good against his own. His hands, of their own accord, lifted up to rest gently on Rory's lips, his skin tingling at the contact. For a moment his brain seemed to think that this was completely okay--Rory wanted this, really did, and if they kissed everything would be okay. His hormones would quit screaming, surely. Before he could do anything more than lick his lips, though, there was suddenly another voice in the room, and Al's heart gave such a painful jump that for a moment he did think that heart failure would be the last thing he remembered of his short life.
His hands dropped from Rory's waist immediately, and he turned so fast on the arm of the couch that he got a crick in his neck. He pulled away from Rory, breaking her hold on him as one of his hands reached up to rub at his neck. He felt his face catch flame immediately as Rose came into his vision, the confused looking she was giving them and her words making him wish he could sink right through the floor, never to be seen again. Merlin, what did this look like to Rosie? Surely she couldn't think...
"Rose, this isn't...We were..." Al said, his voice cracking, making him clamp his mouth shut. He took a shaking breath, willing this all to be a bad dream. Or willing this to be under different circumstances--no love potion involved. "She...I...Erm..."

Al had placed his hands on her hips.. his gaze taking a turn from the wide eyed stare it had been locked in over the last few seconds and instead dropping to focus on her lips. She thought she could almost feel the tension in him loosen ever so slightly.. whatever had had him nervous being pushed aside or ignored for the moment in the distraction of their current positions. Not that the nervous wreck he'd been a few seconds ago hadn't been cute, because really it had. But the intent focus he'd suddenly shifted to..the confidence she felt fighting for a place in the light and steady hold he had on her waist, was loads better.
She watched as he licked his lips.. getting ready to shift herself forwards toward him with a playful smirk on her lips when the sudden sound of a third person in the room shattered the bubble of focus shed managed to build around them, the invisible cocoon that had for only a brief moment locked she and Al into their own private little world. Her smirk dropped into a frown as Al twisted on the arm of the couch, breaking the hold of her arms and tripping over his words to answer questions from a fellow red head whom at any other time.. any other situation Rory would have been happy to see. Next to Al Rose was the member of the Potter/Weasley family whom Rory had always felt the strongest connection with. The two of them had so much in common and often thought along the same lines in situations. Yet here and now that obviously wasn't the case.. or Rose would have slipped out quietly from whatever task had brought her back up here in the first place and left them alone. It had to be right when Al was finally starting to see things in the same light as she did right? Of course it did..
Turning her gaze on Rosie with a roll of her nearly hot pink eyes she lifted a brow and flashed the other girl something between a grin and a none to pleased expression. Sarcasm thick in her voice as she stepped over to stand next to Al. " Stellar timing Rose..really.." turning to look at Al as he began to trip over his words and falling over his own thoughts.. she smirked. Flashing another grin Roses way she chuckled a bit before reaching up a hand, finger extended to run it ever so lightly along the outer ridge of Al's ear. " Isn't he cute when he's nervous? " At Rose's inquiry on what she was up to she shrugged.. " Your smart Rose.. you can figure it out, yeah? wouldn't mind getting back to it either, and neither would Al going off that kiss a bit ago..." She grinned thinking over the last few minutes with Al. " Maybe you were right Al.. maybe we should go somewhere with less... traffic... yeah? " She grinned wryly at him before taking his hand and threading her fingers through his own. Something nagged at the back of her mind.. trying to make a point..insert emotions.. but the warm haze of feelings she had spilling over inside for the boy at her side wouldn't make room for them,, refused to let them through.. so it must not be that important.. nothing to pay any mind to.

Oh, dear. It seemed that Al wasn’t very prepared for her entrance, if the way he whipped his head around and dropped his hold on Rory was any indication. Al seemed almost ashamed of something, which tipped Rose off to the fact that there was actually something odd going on here. Lots of teenagers had been caught snogging before, and if this was simply a normal occasion of “Oh my, someone walked in on us eating face,” Al would probably blush and tell her to get the hell out of there. Not scoot away from the girl he’d been lip-to-lip with and stutter something that she could barely understand. Her eyebrows rose at her cousin, and she couldn’t help but let out a little giggle. ”Oh? So you’re telling me that it wasn’t what it looks like? Then I’d love to hear your explanation of it, Al.”
Rosie turned her hazel eyes to Rory, who didn’t seem too happy to see her. She wasn’t surprised, actually, seeing as Rory had been…er…busy…when she had walked in. Rory seemed oddly aggressive at the moment, between her determined pursuit of a very flustered Al, and her obvious displeasure with Rose for interrupting it. And something about all of this was just…wrong. Rose couldn’t intelligently explain herself. Sure, there was a bit of logic involved in this conclusion, like the fact that Rory’s eyes were a shade that Rose had never seen before, and Al was really, really upset about something. But most of Rosie’s diagnosis came from her gut feeling, which she usually trusted more than simple facts. Intuition mostly won out over logic. Not really a smart decision, but Rose stood by it. This wasn’t right. And she would figure out why, even if she had to glare down at the oddly-aggressive Rory for a straight hour, or prod mercilessly at the blushing, stuttering Al.
”I am known for my timing,” Rose half-agreed, half-joked, crossing her arms over her chest and watching the two lovebirds get cuddly in front of her, even though it was a little disturbing to see Rory tracing her cousin’s ear. Weird, odd, ew. She swallowed her comments on how ‘cute’ he was, and tried to wipe her face of the half-disturbed expression that she was sure she’d been wearing for a second.
And then came the part that was even more disturbing.
Merlin, sometimes it was hard to be nosy. You heard a whole bunch of things that you didn’t particularly want to hear.
Rose widened her eyes and switched hr gaze from Rory (who wasn’t really being cooperative in the ‘get someone to give away the reasons behind it’ plan) and onto Al, who seemed far more susceptible to the pressure of her disbelief and confusion. She furrowed her eyebrows at him—a silent question.
Rose flicked her gaze back to Rory for a moment, trying to figure out what the fuchsia eyes meant, and if it had anything to do with the way she was all over Al with basically no second thoughts. No embarrassment, no signs of insecurity, none of the unsure-ness that came when you were switching from friends to something more…Rose tugged on a curly strand of auburn hair, winding it around her fingers as she observed this oddly positioned couple. ”Rory, I’m perfectly aware of what you were physically doing when I found you. My question had more to do with why.” She turned her curious gaze back to Al, putting confusion and expectation in her gaze, as only close family members can do. ”So what prompted this lovely outcome of snogging in the oh-so-trafficked Common Room?”

If he could, he would gladly sink through the floor, never to be seen again. First Rory had to go and eat something with love potion, then she had to try every bit of restraint he had and make him realize that he had very little, snogged him and made him wish she was of sound judgment, and now Rose had to appear and add embarrassment to the mix. Sure, it was a good thing that she had interrupted them, because in the next second he might have started snogging his best friend again, but at the same time, Albus didn't like having his face up in flames because his cousin was looking at them like they both sprouted two more heads. Not that he blamed her.
Al honestly didn't know what to tell Rosie--he knew that as of right now, with the shock and the way hormones were bouncing around inside of him, he wouldn't be able to properly explain that this really wasn't what it looked like. Before he could do more than open his mouth and try to force words (or heck, even sounds) to come out, Rory was speaking, and he instead let his mouth close again, deciding that maybe stewing in an embarrassed silence would be the best thing for the moment. He tried taking deep breaths, his mind a haze, as Rory spoke, her voice sounding none too happy.
He had barely a moment to register how disgruntled she sounded, before he suddenly felt her hand on his ear, lightly outlining it. Al's body stiffened immediately, a red shade taking over his face and neck, his taunt muscles willing him to jerk away while something else inside of him stilled any movement. His bright eyes didn't dare look over at his best friend now, but as soon as he saw the disgusted look on Rosie's face, he didn't feel much better. Maybe he would get lucky and lightning would strike, right now, and take him out...No such luck, though, as Rory continued on, making his face feel hotter and hotter by the moment.
His mediocre little plan was officially in shambles, with how...aggressive Rory was with the potion, and the sudden appearance of his closest cousin; the cousin who would also take the mickey out of him the most for this. The look she was giving him as Rory spoke, with the furrowed eyebrows, the slightly disgusted look and the bewilderment, was making him feel stupid and guilty; both of which he was. Al wanted to let her know what was going on, but he didn't want Rory to hear him (would that anger her or upset her, or just make her laugh?). At the same time, here she was with her fingers laced in his, glancing at him and grinning, all ready to go to that 'private place' he had talked about earlier. Should he seize the opportunity and take her to the potions office and get her fixed up, and talk to Rosie later? Would his cousin ever allow that?
'Not bloody likely' he thought with a mental snort, and swallowed hard, glancing at Rory as he lifted one hand to run it quickly through his dark hair, messing it up worse than ever in his distress. "Erm..." he started to say, but closed his mouth with a snap when Rose spoke up again, his eyes flickering back to her. His cousin was tugging on her hair, something she only did when she was thinking hard, embarrassed, or confused. When her gaze met his, it was obvious that she was quite confused. Her words made his cheeks flame up again, and once more he found his brain racing, trying to figure out what to do and say and keep this all as peaceful as possible.
"Rore...Rore, why don't you give me a second, and I'll get rid of her?" Albus said suddenly, his voice a stage whisper that wasn't meant to be kept from Rose. He dropped Rory's hand quickly and slipped out of her way, moving quickly to where his cousin was. He reached out to grip her upper arm and marched her away a few steps, drawing her close, keeping his voice low. Hopefully he would be able to explain this well enough so she would quit giving him looks that set his face on fire.
"We were in the village and she bought some candy," he whispered fast, voice low and urgent. "She got the wrong bag, cauldrons filled with love potion. Look at her bloody eyes, Rose." He blushed again, swallowing hard as he looked back at Rory and forced a smile, holding up one finger. He turned back to Rose, looking extremely flustered. "She...she ambushed me, I didn't mean to kiss her, but she was...all over me."
Again he swallowed, his face heating up again. Merlin, he must look like a tomato. Bloody brilliant, Albus. Why did these type of things always happen with him and Rory? "I need to get her an antidote, but I can't handle her on my own, Rose, she'll pin me against a wall or something," he said quickly, his voice hitching up to practically a whine as he turned to look at Rory once more.
((ah. it fails. sorry. >.<))

Many different love potions existed out there.. this one being one of the nastier types. Not only was it rather potent but instead of simply making the consumer starry eyed and wistful over someone.. or eager to please them in whatever way to show their undying adoration..it instead simply removed inhibitions and a healthy bit of common sense from the one who par-took of it. Thus if you found someone attractive well then why not? If it would bust up your current relation ship.. or as in Rorys' case potentially wreck a close friendship those facts were diluted..dulled.. much like having a bit to much to drink minus the staggering, slurred speech and bad odor.
The thing was it wasn't 'just' messing with Rorys' reasoning when it came to Al.. but also with anything that might stand in the way of being with him. Had she been 'right' she'd never have considered the snide comment shed been about to toss back at Roses comment on why she'd been doing what she had. She considered Rose a friend and both knew and liked the fact that Rose could be just as quick with a snappy come back as she herself often was. They were a good deal alike in some ways. She also knew that Rose, above all his other cousins, would have Al's best interests at heart at all times.. it was for that reason that she was her favorite out of all of his many cousins. The problem was though right now what was in Al's best interest was to intrude on their private little moment here..and in her current state Rory just couldn't accept that fact.
She 'felt' the want to be with Al..so that was the only answer then right? To be with him. Rose was his cousin so of course she wouldn't understand..couldn't understand that her cousin was well..bloody well hot!..and sweet..and a slew of other things to her in a much different way than he would be to a cousin. It was actually a good thing she was his cousin to and couldn't look at him in that light.. if it had been competition rather than a nosy cousin they'd found themselves with things might have gotten a bit uglier that the sharp words poised on the edge of her tongue.
They never made it out though as before she could speak Rose had redirected her questioning to Al and then he'd suggestively implied that he was going to get this latest little bit of broom turbulence out of the way of their little adventure together. Pacified by that notion she turned loose of his hand willingly as he dropped it and watched with a satisfied smirk as he took Rose by the arm and lead her across the room. Whispering ensued between the two and after a few moments she found herself growing rather restless.. even a bit ill tempered..at Rose alone of course for interrupting them to begin with. She simply sighed though as Al glanced back with a smile and a motion that he only needed a minute more. Dropping her bright pink gaze to the arm of the couch she was leaning against, she toyed with a lose thread..occupying herself with thoughts of what would come about after Al got his cousin to leave.. that was enough to chase off the frown on her lips and bring to them a rather pleased grin.
