OVERALL PERSONALITY;;
First impressions of Luke often lead people to think him stuck up and arrogant. In reality, he happens to be a quiet person who thinks before he speaks. Therefore, when he does choose to speak, his words are carefully chosen. His thoughtful nature complements his diplomatic personality which is a great help in his occupation in the Ministry.
Though he doesn't suffer from paranoia, he's always been the cautious type. In most situations, he plans ahead to avoid unfortunate results. He likes to think out different scenarios so that he doesn't get disappointed with the outcome.
As a Diplomat, Luke had to be polite and respectful at all times towards his colleagues and the ambassadors. It has also helped that Luke was raised to always be mannerly toward his elders and superiors, even if he greatly disliked them. Because of this, he comes off as aloof and impersonal even though he might care more than he shows.
Luckily, Luke has a calm persona and is slow to anger. Although, when he is extremely frustrated or annoyed, he's known to be excessively sarcastic. In most situations, Luke is level-headed and doesn't tend to freak out over things. However, when being compared to his older brother in any way or form, explosions and visits to the hospital are imminent.
On top of the occasional outburst of anger, intolerance and impatience are two of his greatest flaws. Most of his intolerance is directed towards inequality, though there are a variety of other subjects that brings it out. In general, his impatience rears its head when he's irked, which happens to occur frequently.
As a child, Luke was known for his stubborn attitude, which has lead to him growing up into a determined individual. He's relentless when he has a goal in mind, which has been labelled as his "tunnel vision", though this isn't to be mistaken for ambition.
SOMETHING VERY WICKED
THIS WAY COMES LOVE
PLAY BY;; Brock Kelly
EYES;; Brown
HAIR;; Dark brown
HEIGHT;; 5'11
WEIGHT 165 lbs
MARKINGS;; A scar on his back that Nick gave to him by "accident"
OVERALL DESCRIPTION;;
Having been on the shorter side as a child, it is not surprising that Luke is about 5'11" tall. He is a couple inches shorter than his older brother which annoys him to no end.
Luke is not particularly muscular, though he is rather strong. Compared to his brother, Luke is much skinnier and no where near as buff as his brother. Luke is lean and weighs around 165 lbs.
His hair is a very dark brown which looks almost black at times. He prefers to keep his hair at a length that isn't too long, but long enough that he would be needing a hair cut soon. His hair is usually messy since he doesn't like brushing it and hates it when his hair is tidy. He doesn't care about his hair too much as long as it's decent enough and the only time he feels that his hair is anywhere near good looking is when he's standing in the moonlight.
His eyes are similar to his hair. Depending on the lighting, his eye colour can be any where between light brown or almost black. They are usually guarded though when he lets his guard down, they can be rather expressive.

HISTORY;;
Lucas was born in Paris from an affair that his father had with a woman while on an extended business trip. The woman was French while his father was English. The woman, who Luke had never met or known, did not want to be a single mother raising a child so left the infant boy with the father before his return to England.
Upon returning to London, Lia Landrey was none to happy to find that her husband had cheated on her. But realizing that her son, Nicolas, was young and still needed a father, the woman merely gave the man the cold shoulder for several months. Despite being determined to hate the "other woman's child" at first, Lia could not help but love Luke and raise him as her own anyway.
Ironically, while the mother loved Luke, his father, Christopher, did not. He favourited his first born, Nicolas instead and payed little attention to his second son. This was where the rivalry and distant relationship between the two brothers spawned from. They didn't get along. While the two didn't fight much, they rarely spoke to each other. Their cold attitudes towards each other worried their mother but with a third child on the way, she had little time to do much about it.
Nicolas was the type of boy that any parent would be proud of. He was blond haired and blue-eyed. His smile was charming and he was well-mannered. He was smart and good looking. Luke's parents often received compliments about their perfect son. Luke found it difficult to live up to a perfect brother. Whatever he did, Nick could do better. This fact did not help their relationship since Nick was often boastful about it.
The third Landrey child is Loretta. She was born a sickly child who for whatever reason, either couldn't speak or chose not to. She was passive and dependent on her family. The young girl had a kind heart and her family's sheltering left her innocent and ignorant of many things in the world and even problems and issues within the family itself. She was also the only thing that Luke and Nick had in common, their love for their younger sister. Due to the age difference between Nick and Loretta, Nick was not as close to Loretta as Luke.
Growing up in a rich Engish family was not an easy thing for Luke. Because he was the illegimate child in the family, he was often shunned by others, especially those who were more traditional. His grandparents were cold towards him but at the very least, acknowledged him, unlike some of his aunts and uncles. Most of Luke's cousins accepted him though a few older ones bullied him.
Another reason why Luke had a hard time while growing up was because of his position in the family. Being the middle child meant that he received less attention than his siblings from his parents. The lack of attention from his father was intentional but it wasn't from his mother. She spent all her time looking after Loretta that she rarely had time to spare for Luke. Since Luke didn't make much trouble and kept to himself most of the time, most people end up over looking him.
He had the occasional friend, but one childhood friend stood out. They met in a local muggle playground, wher Luke found a girl his age being bullied by some older muggle boys. In a fit of uncontrolled magic, Luke set a colony of bees on the boys and scared them away. He was left with the sobbing girl named Regina who later became one of his closest friends. In an effort to cheer her up, he declared that she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen and that when he grew up he would surely marry her. To keep his promise to the skeptical Reggie, he gave his new friend a colourful rock that he had found on his way to the park.
With so much time spent alone, Luke would often use this time for reading. His main companions were his books. That was until he was accepted into Hogwarts and was Sorted into Ravenclaw. Once at school, Luke had to learn quickly how to defend himself, with words, fists and magic since his parents were no longer their to do so for him. Nick did nothing to help Luke, as expected. The people who knew about his background eventually stopped bothering him, most of them getting tired of attacking the same person all the time. Loretta, weak and still not speaking, stayed home and was home schooled by her mother.
Despite not being extremely social, Luke still managed to find friends. At least those who could see pass his background and misinterpreted arrogance, like Reggie.
After graduating from Hogwarts with top marks, Luke entered the Department of International Magical Cooperation where he spent a year as an assistant in the International Magical Office of Law before graduated into a full-time position. Since Loretta was soon to be finished with her schooling, Luke decided to transfer into the Department of Magical Law Enforcement this past summer, which required less travelling. This was so Loretta could move in with him instead of being confined in their parents' house.

"Down, up, up. Down, up, up," instructed the women. "You're doing a good job Luke. Keep going." Luke smiled, happy to have received praise from his mother. It motivated him to work harder. He tried to be graceful, but his short six-year-old legs were clumsy and his coordination was off. It didn't seem to stop the flow of compliments so Luke did not become discouraged. Music filled the room. Loretta was dancing by herself, impersonating a ballerina. Their father laughed and clapped as he watched her. Nick was practicing by himself and Luke noted, with some satisfaction, was nowhere near as good as he was. Sure, Nick had the steps down but his coordination was no better and was even clumsier than Loretta's attempt at a waltz.
Luke smiled at the memory. It had been such a long time since that memory took place -- whole decade to be precise. Since then, all three Landreys had improved in their dancing skills. Nick was no longer abysmal at it and was efficient enough to draw praises from his partners and Loretta often surprised people with her eagerness to dance. Luke too had improved a great deal since his first steps but unlike his siblings, he rarely ever allowed anyone to see this improvement. What people saw when he did dance was of course an improved version of his six year old self, but they did not see the dancer that he actually was.
It was his eighth birthday and his parents threw him two parties; there was one where only the kids came and the other where the adults and family came. The first one went as smoothly as a child's birthday party could go. The biggest mishap was a stolen slice of cake which considering the age of the guests, it was not a big surprise. Mrs Landrey was surprised that nothing more had happened. So for the second party, all that were involved had hoped that it would go as smoothly as the first. The results, to everyone except Luke, were exactly what they had hoped for. To Luke, it was one big embarrassment that he wished he could forget, not that anyone other than Nick realized what had passed.
The party had started out well enough. Luke was dancing with an aunt who he did not remember and she was so impressed by his dancing skills that she had offered him to give lessons to her daughter. Luke would¡¦ve accepted since he actually got along with that particular cousin, but then, disaster struck. Nick, who didn't like that Luke had beaten him at something, said that dancing was for girls and Luke was most definitely the girliest of all the boys who did dance. Luke, being eight, fell right into the trap and after that incident, refused to dance unless there were severe consequences.
That particular memory wasn't the most pleasant memory Luke had of his childhood, but it was one that he remembered well. Of course, he knew that dancing wasn't girly now, but it made no difference since he it didn't change the fact that he strongly disliked social events. Also, deep down inside, Luke was still rather afraid of someone laughing at him the same way Nick had. If it did actually occur, Luke could very easily call the other person immature and completely burn the other person with words alone, but it would not save his dignity, even if no one else thought he lost something.
Luke would've continued reminiscing about his childhood and dancing while at it if he had not noticed the shadow by his feet. His stomach dropped. Someone was watching him. He dropped his arms and looked up. It was Reggie. A million thoughts immediately flashed through his head. How much had she seen? What was she going to say? What was he going to say? Being caught in such a relaxed and unrestrained state had never happened to Luke before. He had always worked so hard to keep people from seeing him like this, seeing him when he wasn't completely in control. What was he going to do? Now completely nervous and unable to put a mask on fast enough to hide everything on his face, Luke stood there, fidgeting. He pushed his sleeves to his elbows, then pulled them back down, and then pushed them back up again. He refused to meet Reggie's eyes and suddenly found the hardwood floor quite fascinating.
