OVERALL PERSONALITY;; Despite her family issues, Ash can be seen as nothing but a kind girl with a tendency of being willing to help anyone, which some may see as a fault. To the outside world Ash is a caring girl who is constantly happy and bubbly. She never lets anyone past the mask of friendliness (something she really is), happy (what she really isn’t) and content (which she sometimes is). With the world never seeing past her mask, they never realize her true feelings or what her family life is like.
On the inside things are very different than what Ash shows to the outside world. If she didn’t act, she would often appear mentally bruised and beaten. She can’t manage to let anyone in, always afraid that they’ll leave her like Arianna and Jessie did. Alongside her trust issues, is the depression that’s building. Every summer Ash goes home in a slightly better mood than when she left the year before, but slowly it gets worse, as she goes day in and day out being completely alone with only the maids and butlers her parents hired to tend for her and the house.
A break down, Ash knows, is not far enough away for her liking, and she realizes that soon enough someone will probably find her sobbing in a corner, and her secrets will come out. That, however, is something she’s managing to keep at bay for the time, always staying the peppy, happy girl everyone knows (and no one loves).

Her light brown eyes often sparkle with happiness, even when she’s not smiling, though she can often be seen smiling a sweet smile.
Surprisingly Ash doesn’t get freckles very easily and the only freckles she has are small and barely noticeable; both her parents have freckles like crazy, as does her brother. Ash is thin and usually wears well-fitted clothes that show that off. She doesn’t really worry about her body, but she does worry about her health and eating healthy along with
Ash has two scars that she got before she found out about magic. One on her knee from when she was learning to ride a bike (Jessie and Arianna taught her). The other on her heel from stepping on a nail when she was visiting her grandparents and they were having a new deck put in.

HISTORY;;Born into a rather wealthy family Ash grew up getting any material possessions she wanted. However, her Mum and Dad were both work-a-holics and she and her older sister, Arianna, ended up being raised by a nanny. Arianna and the nanny, Jessie, ended up being more like parents to Ash then her actual parents as Jessie and Arianna were the ones who raised her. Everything Ash knew up to the point of her eleventh birthday was learned from her sister and nanny.
However, things didn’t go quite as planned when Ash received her letter to Hogwarts and told her sister about it. She was excited and hoped that her, then sixteen-year-old, sister would be happy for her. Arianna, instead, demanded to know what exactly Ash was thinking, going to a school of the Devil and why she would be going alone without Arianna. Ash, unsure what to say, went to Jessie and found out that Jessie was also a witch, and she had thought that Ash might be too when she started showing signs at the age of four.
Jessie was the one to take Ash to Diagon Alley to get all of her stuff for school, and from then on, Jessie was basically the only family she had. Arianna had practically stopped talking to her and her parents didn’t care either way, as long as she didn’t bother them at work. The eve of her trip to Hogwarts was the last time Arianna spoke to her younger sister, and it wasn’t in a kind way. Arianna basically told Ash that she hated her and never wanted to see or speak to her again. That was the last time Ash allowed herself to cry, swearing never to cry again, and she has followed that rule ever since.
When she got to Hogwarts Ash was only seen as that bubbly happy girl that was willing to help everyone. She made friends easily, but didn’t let anyone in, afraid of getting hurt again like she had with her sister and Jessie. However, Ash seems to have realized she’s nearing her breaking point, becoming more and more depressed, though of course she never shows it.
Jessie, despite the promise she made to an eleven year old Ash (saying she’d never leave), one day did leave. Disappearing without a trace in either the muggle or wizarding worlds when Ash was just twelve, she left Ash alone in her not-so-loving home. Though she’s wondered about it many a time, Ash can’t decide what she believes. Did Jessie leave her on purpose, unable to deal with her, or was she taken by someone, murdered for her views and opinions?
At fourteen, Ash started trying to become an animagus and just a few days after her seventeenth birthday she finally managed it, becoming a small gray mouse. Often, whenever she needs to get away for a little while, Ash will turn into her mouse-self and wander around the school building. Occasionally she’ll overhear something she shouldn’t, but she always keeps quiet, never wanting to get in trouble.

Ash wasn’t particularly aware of where her feet were talking her as she left her last class of the day, which was followed by two free periods (which she was quite happy about). All she really knew was that she wanted a break from classes and homework already…and it wasn’t that far into the school year at all. Dropping her bag in her dorm room, she continued on her way, ending up in the great hall and exiting through the big oak doors and out into the sun. Her face relaxed itself into a content smile as she walked across the grounds with the sun beating down on her face.
She considered turning into Angel (what she had gotten into the habit of calling her animagus form), but decided against it. If she turned into Angel too often it wouldn’t take anyone that long to realize exactly what she could do, and that was something she didn’t want happening. Though, if she really considered it, she’d rather that happen then someone find out her other, bigger secret.
Shaking the thoughts out of her head, as had become a very easy, habitual thing to do, Ash continued walking across the grounds, ending up nearing the lake. As she got closer she spotted a very well-known girl, who was in the same year as her for that matter. Elladora Lestrange. Daughter of ‘the Dark Lady’. Sighing, Ash wondered how rude it would be if she just ignored the other girl, but as she watched her sitting and reading, she heard a quiet murmur, and felt the need to reply.
Sitting down beside Elladora, Ash spoke to her quietly, “Everyone needs friends, even if you’re a Slytherin and the daughter of the Dark Lady. Even if you plan to become the next Dark Lady.” And she knew her words were true, even if she never let anyone get truly close to her.
